You are at your new job & have finally been given a plum assignment. You need to think of something to put in the boxes of a brand new cereal. Hoping to keep this job, you need to shine on this assignment! What do you choose?
What would you put in a new breakfast cereal box as a gimmick?

A little plastic card with instructions on doing different cool life hacks, like getting elevators to go to your floor without stopping and drying clothes more efficiently.

I don't know about cereal but i always like with video games how they give away promotional merchandise, be it a keychain, poster, pins, magnets, stickers, clothing. It's just fun if you like the brand/product to have something related to it.

I think trading cards of something fun would be a good idea. Kids definitely collect cards, and if there was no other way to get the other cards (or maybe the special rare or chromium cards) but to buy more cereal. Some styles of cereal would obviously loan itself better to this idea than others. I am a huge fan of the general mills monsters cereals. I still buy them, and even as an adult I would get hooked on collecting Count Chocula or Booberry cards.

Eden Bran Cereal (gotta keep regular for those butt plugs!), with code cards for points. lol

This would be good for adult cereals. What an unusual idea & something I actually would find interesting enough to keep! Thanks for the great answer!

A tiny puppy or kitten in every box.

What about trading cards with life hacks on these? I have trouble explaining, but there are ways to make it interesting.
Or mini-craft kits. Or cards that you have to collect to make a story. Mini-books.
EDIT: the craft kits could be dangerous... what about small craft kits made of big parts?

Plastic half bugs actually in the cereal. When they get found, it looks like part if it was accidentally eaten.

"Dild-O's" has got to be they best cereal name EVER!
I said TJtheMadHatter's idea was genius , but your's is evil genius!
You know who would LOVE a bowl with some half spider surprises? Kendra! Yes, it's true, I heard she has such a good sense of humor about spiders, this would be just the surprise for her!
Honestly, I think this idea would really appeal to kids. They could collect all the 'pieces' and have fun secreting them into people's food. Even a cereal with marshmallow, or whatever type of half bug shaped goodies, would appeal to kids! I think you have a winner here!
But, I can just see one of those fake commercials that Saturday Night Live does with your Dild-O's. You could be a comedic writer for shows like that, because some of the stuff you say is not only hilarious, it's unexpected!
