The girl who caught the bouquet at my wedding was so high that day, she doesn't remember any of it - when I related what she told me of how she was practicing to catch it ('Yeah, man, I've been having so-and-so throw apples and parsley and stuff at me so I can catch in mid-air!'), she was surprised she said that. (She quit when she went into school to be a lab tech.) She apologized for not remembering attending my wedding, and I told her it was okay because I was divorcing him anyway.
Speaking of, my ex-husband was deathly allergic to marijauana - he would cough up blood, his allergy was so bad. I kept telling him to rent his services out to parents who suspected their kids of smoking. Just sniff around the place and see how he reacts. He thought I was being facetious. less

I agree with this. Alcohol is more harmful, but it is more widely accepted because it is legal.

Pot has a terrible stigma attached to it BECAUSE it's illegal. Yes, some people do stupid things while high.. but is it because of the weed? Most likely not. Honestly, I think alcohol is a lot more harmful and I rarely drink because of this.

it doesn't give you emphysema, it doesn't blacken you lungs in unholy chemicals, and it doesn't kill you eventually.
in fact there is evidence that the smoke is actually beneficial in cancer therapy and actually reduced cancers in small amounts.
don't believe the propaganda D.A.R.E. shat out.
research and question.

Pot isn't evil - but if you think that smoking the stuff doesn't leave tar in your lungs - you're the one buying too much propaganda. There are plenty of carcinogens in almost any smoke - including pot.

Pot doesn't fight cancer - but it does reduce the nausea associated chemotherapy.

Ah yes - that's THC. If you extract THC and administer it, it's a drug. You can extract nicotine from tobacco plants and use it as a drug.

Pot smoke is a know carcinogen link.
There is a difference between drugs and smoke.

nope, never been my thing. I've actually never smoked a cigarette either, never felt the need... I have a feeling that if I didn't grow up drinking sips of wine/champagne during parties I wouldn't have bothered with alcohol either.

How nuts is this? Children of the Hippie 60's and neither of us EVER smoked pot OR got drunk. Yes, you read that correctly. NEVER got drunk either. Honest, no joke. Not from super religious families or anything. Just never wanted to. All our friends did BOTH..in front of us. We were too busying having sex. THAT is also true. To each his/her own.

in the right situation, with the right people/person (more likely just one person)...

If you need the anti nausea benefit, then I can see it, because smoking is actually the preferred method of delivering THC.
I say bring on the hemp - shampoo, rope, fabric, medicine - whatever.
Hemp was one of our biggest cash crops in per-revolutionary war America.
Sorry to say Washington is too tight-assed to think of anything that is creative. They are going to fight the war on drugs - and Vietnam until we're all broke and speaking Chinese.

lots of money.
also, keeping up the war with other countries also keeps them unstable which makes them easier to control.
drugs are good, people controlling them is bad.

I've never had the real stuff, but me and my boyfriend tried the legal stuff last night. It was pretty great. Don't think I'll do it again any time soon though.

I haven't smoked or gotten drunk before - I'm curious about it, but also a little apprehensive, considering drug addiction/alcoholism is pretty prevalent in my family.
12/30/2011
I've only smoked 3-4 times ever and it was in my freshman year of college. At this point, I don't think I'm in the right place in life to do it anymore.
12/30/2011
not my type of thing.

never have. Never will.

I never have and I definitely never will.

I haven't ever smoked, but maybe if it became legal I'd try it atleast. But it's not worth getting into trouble over it. I'm not really much for things that mess with function at all, so Pot wouldn't really be for me i don't think. I've had plenty of offers to smoke, but i have declined every time, i even had a friend who would smoke it every day.
12/31/2011
I never have. I think it's a waste of time and money.
I am open to trying pot brownies or something like that, though. Just not smoking because I don't want to mess up my lungs.

I don't smoke pot, or cigarettes, and I wouldn't ever smoke either. It's a horrid habit.
My ex smoked pot on occasion (he was a frat boy, so it was somewhat unavoidable) but he wasn't high all the time and it didn't seem to be a big problem for him. It was basically like he was drunk when he was high. But he knew I wasn't comfortable with it so he wouldn't smoke or be around me after he'd been smoking.

I'm most aroused when i'm high on indica. I just remember being super high one day and then i fell asleep and woke up having sex which lead crazy orgasm. Then i woke up in the morning drained and hungry with a dry mouth. Maybe i'm a bit subconsciously stressed out and the pot relaxed me leading to better sex... Pot isn't good when smoked... Or with all those nasty chemicals...

I don't smoke pot, partially because I don't know anybody who smokes pot. I wouldn't know how to buy any, or even where to look.
Reminds me of a joke I heard on the radio this morning... the guy was talking about how somebody approached him about buying drugs and he wanted some but didn't know the right lingo to order. "I would like to have ten... cocaines please."
