Oof! I hate hate hate hate hate Florida's weather. Walk around feeling all stuck and wet. My grandmother used to have the same problem, until she picked up a set of those wire curlers. You know the ones with the plastic case that snaps over the top? She would thoroughly wet her hair, then applied a layer of mousse to the strands she wanted to roll at that moment, spray with a hint of hairspray once clipped into place. She let it air dry for about two hours, then hit it with the blow dryer to finish it up. She said the key was not to unroll the hair until it had completely cooled to avoid frizzing while brushing it out. I have no idea if that will help you, but there ya go! less

Yes, it really is like that here - I have no clue as to why people want to move here.

The sponge curlers I have are too tight for my hair length (I'd look exactly like Little Orphan Annie), so it has to be by curling iron. Mom's talking hairspray THEN iron ... I just colored it, I don't think my hair can take any more processing at this time. (Speaking of first world problems.) less

This is a complaint thread of sorts. A first-world problem is something like:

"It's raining out and I can't decide which galoshes to wear today; the pink ones or the purple-spotted ones, oh the horror!"

Similar to a "fuck my life" thread, but more...*mumbles something about whiny and entitlement*
