Pools Closed After Labor Day???

MANY public pools and even private community pools close the day after labor day....even in cities where the temperature is still over 100 degrees daily.

They claim that once "kids are in school" it is not "financially worthwhile" to stay open.

Do you agree or do you STILL think people would come to these pools IF they were open?

Our pool does that as well. I think there are still many people that would go, but the overhead of the pool might be more than the revenue without the school age kids. I do wish they would stay open or be open afternoon/evenings, though.

A lot of our public pools close after labor day because the lifeguards around here tend to be highschool or college kids.

Our outdoor pool closes, but thankfully we have indoor ones. Since it snows sometimes by now, it makes sense

They totally would still come! And...kids are not the only ones who go to pools! At my apartment complex our pool stays open until people stop going for like 3 days straight. Last year it closed in October.
