Where is the best place to hold a bachelorette party?

Contributor: socceras socceras
I want to hold a bachelorette party for a friend. She is getting married December of 2012 so I have plenty of time to plan. Where is the best place to have the party? I think my house would be the best cause I can decorate how I want. But maybe her house would be good cause she can pass out wherever she wants. I do live with my parents so at my house might be an issue. But I'm only 21 still so don't make fun

You want it to be at a place where ALL YOUR GUESTS will feel comfy and free to have fun. I am not sure "your parents house" qualifies. Get everyone together and rent a hotel room for the night....decorate it that day, party that night. Let whomever needs to crash there (a suite in many places can be had for about $100 if you use like AAA or online sites like Priceline or Travelocity. (have several folks pitch in to pay, if you must). That way, you have privacy and can still party safely.

I have been to a few that way....worked out pretty good if the group was small enough.

I think it first of all depends on the amount of money you are willing to spend. For me, something simple at the house as a joint party for him and for me!

A friend of mine, though, rented a lodge that is sorta like a bar/restaurant in the main part and a party hall in the back. She had it complete with strippers, contests like who could make the best home-made gift which had to be bachelorette party appropriate (as in naughty!) and could be somehow used at the party or on the wedding night or something. It could be hand-made lingerie or food, just whatever! She also had the ladies have the option of wearing lingerie under their clothes and we had to guess the colors and stuff as a game.

It was a LOT of fun, and then she rented it for the whole night, so that no one would have to drive home because she paid for all-we-could-drink.

That had to have been one of the most fun but expensive bachelorette parties I've ever heard of and definitely been to!

But there are ways to do something similar without all the money!

It's Mr.SecretToyLover. My wife had hers at a venue, but she always says she wished she had done it at her own home for the very reason you mentioned - she could pass out wherever she wanted. Now she didn't do anything crazy. No male strippers, etc. But she did drink quite a lot whether she has admitted it or not and there's pictures to prove it!

I think doing it at your friend's home would be best. And probably more fun. But if a lot of guests live closer to you, you could try to get the parents out of the house for a night. I'm sure they could come to understanding since it's for a wedding.
