I have multiple cats! Let's just say, more than 5, but less than 10!

I used to have two of my own cats but they died/were eaten by coyotes. Now I consider my parents' cat and my husband's roommate's cat to be mine

Cats are definitely my favorite kind of pet! My husband didn't appreciate cats until I converted him. Even yesterday we were looking at cat breeds on Wikipedia and going "awwwww!!!" (and also "ewww!"). We decided we want a Norwegian Forest Cat (the most cvlt and frostbitten cat possible)

A house rabbit! Awesome! We used to have rabbits too.

Now I have three cats. The two males are fast friends. The female gets along with neither of the males.

Two cats, two gerbils, and two degus. You have to keep the rodents in a very safe spot though, because the cats are very fascinated and would love to get their paws on them. All of my pets are shelter animals. When I wasn't able to have cats, I volunteered at animal shelters to get my kitty fix. I'm really much more sane when I have animals at home. Otherwise, any animal I meet on the street is a potential friend, from feral cats to squirrels!

One day, I would like to be a wildlife rehabilitator for mammals or a foster home for cats.

I love to see the rodent love here! I love my gerbils and had 13 a couple of years ago, but unfortunately they don't have very long lifespans. I told myself that I'm not allowed to have so many rodents again because I really can't handle so many losses. I make a friend, and if I'm really lucky, they can be with me for 3 or 4 years. It just hurts too much to lose them so quickly, so I'm trying to cut back. Then again, I'm sure I'll stumble on a rescue situation and end up with a few more cages one of these days. I'm a sucker for rescue animals.

I have a dog, a one-year old Yorkshire Terrier, who is the best cuddle buddy ever. And now that I'm with my family, there's a total of 3 dogs and 1 cat in the house and it's kinda chaotic. My dog is the youngest and she's playful and hyper so the others don't like her much right now (especially the cat).

One precious kitty who is like a child to us. We have had her almost as long as we've been married (we adopted her before our first wedding anniversary) and we've been married 14.5 years. She is truly our baby.

We also used to have a saltwater aquarium with large, beautiful marine fish. They can live a long time and we had some of them for several years.

1 cat. She lives with my parents though because the land lord won't let us have her unless I get her declawed. I don't want to do that to her.

1 Dog -- Pomeranian. He won 'largest' pom award at our vet's office. 25lbs he is! Eeek!

2 Chinchillas. Love love love those little furballs!

I have a kitty who is my best friend. She has been with me through everything! I also have 4 fish tanks, 2 of which have fish in it.

My mom has a rottweiler and two cats at her house as well. Since we are over there daily, I consider them my pets too.

chinchillas are so awesome!

He has beautiful eyes. I work with a woman that takes in cats with feline HIV and helps find homes for cats with feline leukemia. She sent around an e-mail this a.m. with a HUGE black and white kitty with leukemia who's very sweet and needs a home with no other cats or only kitties with feline leukemia. I wish I could take him but A. I'm soooooo allergic to cats, my face would swell up like the elephant man and B. my rat might not be thrilled. She's already very used to being the baby of the house.

I have 1.5 cats. Haha!

My own cat, a Ragdoll, is named Kahlua and he is my (retarded) baby. My other cat is actually my boyfriend's cat and he is a giant 20lb (not fat!) orange tabby. We don't live together, though, so both of our cats are alone, although they do get along well if I bring mine over.

I am wanting to get a 2nd cat to be there with my kitty when I am off at work. I truly spend quite a small amount of time at home, and worry about him being alone.

We have two cats and two fish. I've had a huge variety of pets over the years, rats (I so wish my apartment allowed them!), rabbits, iguanas, turtles, birds varying in size from cockatiels up to cockatoos, an Amazon, and macaws, dogs, hamsters, and hermit crabs. I would LOVE an octopus though. I don't know that I'll ever own one, but maybe someday. I'd really like a cuttlefish but they're almost always caught directly out of the wild and I would feel horrible.
This, and the fact that cephalpods are awesome, is why I want a cuttlefish:

1 cat I love cats her name is kitty baby and I love green iguanas but they are so high maintenance and expensive to house and feed properly I know because I have a 4oo page book on them by an expert.

Yeah, they are high maintainence. We had a Green Iguana, but a female so she didn't get huge. She did really well for a few years, then despite a "full spectrum" light, a machine to keep her warm and moist and Vitamin D3 drops, calcium supplements and something in her food called "Liquid Sunshine" she got bone problems and eventually died. Once they get the bone problems, nothing can be done.

They are nearly impossible to keep if you don't live near the equator. They just NEED real, 12 to 16 hours a day of bright sunshine. Their metabolism requires it. They do have lights that cost hundreds of dollars, but even those don't always substitute for real sunlight. The vet said we did the best job possible, she was tame and sweet and everything. She just needed to be in an area near the equator. I feel bad about it now. IMO, they shouldn't even be allowed to sell these animals outside of equatorial areas, unless people have a license and extensive knowledge of how to care for them. You have to nearly have a Rain Forest set up in your home to house them properly. I spent well over a thousand dollars taking care of this animal, not including the special high calcium diet. LOTS of Collards and Kale.

Our vet said we did better with an iguana than any owner she had worked with other than those who were herpetologists. (also because we tamed her, and so many iguanas become very aggressive towards humans, they bite! She only bit when she was having Sunlight Induced Aggression, in the spring. We'd have to THROW her food into her tank until she recovered.)

It's a good thing you did your homework before getting one. Taking care of this animal was like having an other child. MUCH more work than a dog or anything else we've ever had.

I love animals! I can't picture a life without pets. I have always had cats at least. I have also owned rabbits, rats, birds, fish, dogs and turtles. Currently we have two cats (major sucks, the both of them..they are tabby cats), a dog (part sheppard, part huskie) and some danios (fish).
