So, I'm an animal lover, and am currently trying to go to school to be a vet. I have and have had a WIDE variety of pets living, or just staying temporarily, in my home. I was wondering what pets other EF member have, and whats the weirdest pet you've ever had?
Ok, so now I'll tell all that I've had. Keep in mind, I'm only 21
We've had tons of cats, cats with babies, cats show up prego and get up in the house (cause i can't leave them outside!) etc. I had one cat, Whiskers, since I was 2. She just died this month, and she was 19. I had a cat with chronic renal failure for a while, which means that 3 or 4 times a year she goes crazy skinny, has to be force fed vitamins, and gets the worst attitude you've ever seen! (she tried to kill my poodle multiple times, once, she ran into the door chasing him, and knocked herself out, cold! thats how fast she was running to tear him up!) I had an orange tom cat, who was fat and happy with one fang hanging out of his mouth, he was terrified of the outdoors however, and never stepped foot outside, EVER. we tried, he hated it, and had crazy panic attacks. We also had a solid white cat, named lucky. She had a heat stroke in the hot summer heat, and had brain damage. Poor thing could never land on the counter, always smacked right into the side of it. We've also had probably hundreds of other cats, temporary cats, and other cats, outdoor cats, etc.
We've had a few dogs too, lol. we have a poodle, my now husband bought him for me when i was 15, so prince is almost 6 years old now. hes a baby, forever. he likes his shirts too We also had a New Foundland, they're abut 150 lbs and 31/2 foot tall, lol. he liked to take up the whole bed, adn he could do it too. we've had tons of puppies that we've rehomed as well.
We've also had 3 baby squirrels, were brought to me by some family who chopped down a tree witht their nest in it. I bottle fed them all, even on my wedding day (they got snuck into the hotel room with me!). I found loving homes for the 2 girls, and kept my baby boy. He comes in and out the window now, and lives inside and outside. We also had a raccoon for about a day, we rescused him out of a dumpster he was in, he got stuck in there and couldnt get out (he was a baby). Brought him home, cleaned him up and fed and watered him, & he left out our window. We also had a large angry iguana for a while, our friends coudlnt keep him and we're going to put him outside! we got him, and he was still mean. Poor thing hated everything. Anyways, he only liked the squirrel, him and the squirrel would cuddle together (I swear, i have picture proof!). He followed the squirrel out the window one daay, and we could never find him We also had our Daisy Rat. She was our baby. She was never caged, and ran free in our house. she was a small fancy rat, and she loved us and had the most personality from anything i've ever met, even humans. She even scared pitbulls off of her!! She got tumors, so she had to eventually be put to sleep, but she lived a long super happy life!
We also currently have a quaker parrot who never stops talking. He sings and dance and talks, and plays peek a boo. his newest phrase is, "Oh my god!" its hilarious! He has become my baby bird over the last year We also have a dove that flew in our window right now. Its getting cold, and we had the window open one warm day. she flew in and hasn't left since,. She gets fed and talked to and gets to stay warm and dry, so i guess shes happy! We also had 2 corn snakes for a while, as well as a 3 foot long boa. We also have a 120 gallon fishtank with lots of fish in ti, and at one point we had a coffee table aquarium, that housed a colony of crabs! (except i accidently broke it one day! oops!)
