I have a goldfish. My mom didn't want it anymore, so I adopted it.

I always had cats, when I was growing up, and my mom still does, but I haven't had any since leaving home.

I had lots of pets during my childhood, but I'm not much interested in animals nowadays. Also, like kids, they're too expensive to take care of.

I have an 8 month old chihuahua named Chico. He's my baby.

I love all animals but my preferred pets are dogs. However, I've always wanted a horse.

I'm not an animal person. My siblings and I (mostly them; as I said, not an animal person) had a wide variety of pets growing up, so I've "been there, done that" for most of the standard pets.

I kind of like the -idea- of a dog, maybe, but I don't think I'd like the reality, and the husband is allergic to anything with fur or feathers anyway.

Three dogs, one cat ( the other one had to be put down a week ago), two fish (soon to be more once their eggs hatch), and countless frogs of all kinds in our pool.

We used to have birds as well but my dad decided that their huge walk in cage wasn't big enough for two tiny birds to fly around in. Lol.

I just got 4 mice today!!! So that takes it to 3 Fire Belly Toads, 1 Ball python, 1 Cat, 1 Dog, 1 Rat,and now 4 mice!!! I need a bigger apartment or self control... not sure which!! LOL

I can't imagine a cat doing this, but my boyfriend's dog... GET OUT OF THAT! YOU DON'T BELONG IN THIS ROOM! Very inquisitive, to the point of being a bit annoying. I'm not a fan of dogs, unless the dog is a golden retriever or has stumpy legs (Corgis and dachsunds, so cute!). Cats are more suited to my personality, despite not being obedient. Hmm. Seems so contradictory, but that's my preference.

I have a toddler and a newborn, so the last thing I want is another thing to pick up after! lol. When the kids are older, and I'm not changing diapers, I plan on getting a Newfoundland dog. We have already discussed this, lol.

Our next investment though, will be a cow (I'm suprised nobody has one lol) I guess that is just the farmer/geek genes coming out in me. Our cow will be living on my brothers land, not too far from us. That way when the little guy can do 4H he will have some experience with the animals already

I currently have a dog and a cat, but have owned fish, mice, hamsters, parakeets, a rabbit, a guinea pic, hermit crabs... I've loved animals all my life. I'd love to own a horse, but it's nearly impossible in an urban area like mine, unless you're willing to pay enormous fees for care and boarding. The only other pet I have my eye on is a southern flying squirrel.

I have two German Shepherds who are my babiessss! I haven't ever really been a cat person, until I met my boyfriend's cats. Now sometimes when I walk in his door after not seeing him all week, I'll say hello to the cats first! Particularly if they're greeting me at the door. I mean, how can I not? I also have two chinchillas, but to be honest, I like a more sociable pet.

Exotic pets.. yay! I currently have 3 dogs, a cat, and 3 snakes. One snake is on the loose in my house somewhere because my cat let her out. I love my snakes. I snuggle them, all except my newest one. She's an angry little hoho. She was wild caught, and thus is fairly angry with society.

Kitties!!! They're so soft and cuddly, well all of my cats were. We currently don't have any animals as we just moved and there really isn't an appropriate place for the litter box.

I love cats more than anything, and I have a tuxedo who's name is Xavier. Haha, my profile screen name. I also love cows, donkeys, rabbits, rats, sheep, goats, and every other living creature that roams the earth! When an animal gets hit, I go out of my way to move it out of the road. I respect all of them, no matter if it's an insect or a cat.

I used to be a cat person, but after I had my son, my husband told me "a boy needs a dog". Now I have two wonderful, beautiful Basset Hound girls who I love like true members of the family. I wouldn't give them up for anything!

I'm glad you included rabbits. We've always had rabbits around, and the one that we have right now is like my best friend. He's the sweetest thing ever and I miss his so much when I'm away at college that it makes my heart ache.
