Pet Names

Have you given your partner, or been given by your partner, a really silly pet name?

Something other than 'babe', 'baby', 'hun', 'honey', etc.

What was/is it?

Loverpumpkin, honey bunches (not that odd).

His petname for me has always been Oddball.

Yes -- I like pet names, they're intimate, affectionate and reinforce a sense of exclusivity. I like them, but definitely not to the exclusion of their actual name and of course, it's for private time -- don't use it around other people.

We use basic lovey names. He comes up with random ones at times, but they're always different and hardly make sense!

Same here. I can't remember any past ones on the top of my head though.

I never liked words like 'babe', 'baby','hun' or other names of the sort. Especially when I hear people use 'babes'... I hate that. Occasionally, I call my S/O 'fruitcake'. He hates it.

We've both used honey a few times but the cute pet names just aren't us and actually since we're the only two in the house rarely even use our given first names.

I've never given a partner a totally whacky pet name, but I have an ex fiance that used to call me booger, and I think it was because I'm so disgusted by nose picking. LOL
