I'm a bit strange at naming (I'm told) and I prefer to use either proper names or animal names other than what the animal actually is. Like, my cat is named Harley T and some of my nicknames for her are "Squeaker Horse" and "Harley Fish". I'd be apt to call a husky Charles the Cobra or something, which is a bit insane I know, haha.
