Do you think people consider you creepy if you have (and voice) strange ideas.

At one point we were sitting in a room and I thought "I want to start a fire in here", not out of malice, simply because a campfire sounded very nice to my sleep-deprived brain at the moment. After voicing my idea in a joking way, my friends looked at me and laughed, but I got strange looks from people sitting a little bit away.

so, my question is, are you creepy for voicing your strange ideas? Everyone has them, I'm sure, even if they are not related to lighting a campfire in the middle of a building.

Did the strange looks come from people who didn't know you well or at all?

Usually when people say things that they THINK people will view as creepy, I usually think they're just really cheesy! I've lived with multiple people (and gone to school with and college and partied with) people who thought it was so incredibly funny to "try to creep people out" by adding "AND DEAD BABIES!!!" to the end of sentences or "randomly" bringing up doom/death/fire/whatno t. The people who LEGITIMATELY thought "strange" things (often vocalized or not) were quite charming for their different way of thinking, not creepy.

The few times I actually get creeped out by people is when they vocalize detailed personal information (usually about sex stuff) to people they've just met and expect people to be legitimately interested in their habits, or worse, trying to get people to join them in that activity. D:

I have unusual thoughts and voice them regularly--everyone is too used to me, though and know I am being goofy.

I would just say a stranger since you don't know their personality. Like, if I was in the room when you said that, I wouldn't know you meant like a campfire. It's also hard to judge sarcasm at times, so some things come off as weird.

Given my friend group, as long as people know you, it works out. Our random thought chains are pretty entertaining

My sister and I both say things to each other that would be pretty strange to other people most likely. But we understand each other pretty well so feel cool about talking openly to each other.

I think they aren't always creepy coming from strangers. It depends on if that stranger looks like a Manson.

I'm so odd myself that it doesn't bug me when others are ... unless it involves really squiffy stuff like pedophilia or making people dead, then I'll try to locate the nearest blunt instrument.

Depends on the thoughts I guess. I'm sure the things I say come across as creepy quite often. Lol.

I think most of the creep factor comes from not knowing someone, so you can't tell if they're serious or just kidding.

I'm not sure, it depends on what they're saying. If it's off the wall crazy and from a stranger, then it's creepy.
