If you order tea to drink in your area, is it hot or cold?

We have to say if it's hot or iced tea. Normally for me it's hot tea. I only drink it when we go to a Chinese resturant.

In Canada the tea always comes hot but when I've asked for tea in the U.S. it has come cold.

If they were to assume, it would be hot. But I always specify, so there is no confusion. I'm surprised they wouldn't ask which way you wanted your tea.

I would never think to just ask for tea. I'd always specify either iced tea or hot tea when ordering.

They ask you to clarify which you'd like if you only ask for "tea" around here (North East).

Hot tea is nice every now and then when it's cold out. It's nice for a sore throat. But I prefer and mostly drink iced tea.

I grew up in a place where "tea" meant "hot tea," and now I live somewhere they ask "Sweet-tea, or unsweetened?" when you ask for tea, because most restaurants serve both kinds of iced tea.

I love hot tea, but iced tea is nice sometimes. Sweet tea and lemonade (with a lil rum if you'd like) is good too.

I said 'other' because there wasn't an option for 'both'. I drink both of them at any given time during the year, regardless of weather, even though I live in an area where winters are cold and summers are hot. It just depends on what mood I'm in, and what type of tea is available. Some flavored teas are better either hot or cold in my opinion, and then plain tea just depends on the mood.

I don't care much for tea, but when I do drink it, I drink it hot.

Hot! I live in an area where it's chilly often, and I drink a LOT of hot tea. Iced tea is ok but I don't get it often.
