Old Friends

Do you forgive and forget easily when it comes to old friends? Has one ever texted you or called? Do you reply/answer? Do you just play nice with no intention of becoming friends again or do you try to rekindle it?

Recently a few of my semi-recent ex-friends want to be friends again, and I'm just not sure. I can forgive them, sure, but I'm really not sure if I want them back in my life as more than an "old friend." We don't live close anymore and they still seem to be stuck in the past.

it really depends on why we aren't talking to begin with. If it was something that was pretty minor, I'll consider patching up the friendship after we forgive and forget.

If it was a repetitive bad habit or a particularly nasty falling out that caused a rift, I might not even mending the friendship. If they are stuck in the past, I would probably talk to them only once and keep them on an acquaintance level until they moved out of the past and back into the present. Otherwise, it could lead to some annoying drama.

but just my two cents, i hope this helps a bit!

I know how you feel, I have been running into friends from high school and even middle school that want to hang out that have seemingly not changed since then or changed too much since then. Basically meaning some friends got into alcohol and drugs and some still refuse to get a job and live with mommy and daddy. I find myself not being able to hang out with those people. I return calls and sometimes come through but without any intention of rekindling anything. I have two kids so I don't have time to be chilling at a friends house and get arrested because he happens to have have drugs there that I don't know about. Or I don't feel like dealing with my have to get black out drunk all the time friends either that shit gets annoying.

"Live and let die", If it's meant to be it will happen. No sence in thinking about it.

That's very good advice.
