I am not tech savvy at all...so I have no idea what you are doing but computer issues are a real pain, I agree. Especially if you are unknowledgable...like me, lol.

You can do it but it's not the easiest thing in the world, quite geeky actually unless you have a windows xp installer made for a flash drive, which unfortunately there is no legal version that does that.

What you can do is use your windows cd to make a bootable flash drive installer.
You will have to make sure your bios (hit DEL or F1 for most systems to enter BIOS) is capable of booting via USB drive, most will but you have to specify this in the BIOS "BOOT" options, also sometimes under "ADVANCED".
If you're lost, give up here.
If you're not, follow the directions here:

(My boyfriend wrote that. I'm not that much of a geek, lol. Hope it helps!)

Haha, he is the resident geek. Everyone asks him to fix their computers when they are having issues.

I want to get him this for Christmas, because it's so true. LOL
But, yeah, feel free to message us if you ever have any problems! He just signed up for an account on here a little while ago but hasn't had a chance to be active yet. I'm sure he'll make his presence known when he is
