OH! Leaves! *crunch*

Contributor: Jobthingy Jobthingy
I love autumn colors. I love to walk around with my camera in had and take pretty pics of the surroundings.

But what I love even more? Stepping on all those crunchy leaves.

I will go out of my way to step on a big pile.

Maybe it is the sound. Maybe it is the feeling of them crunching under my shoe. Maybe I just like stepping on stuff.

Anyone else in the leaf crunching boat?

I generally try to avoid stepping on them, if I can. All the colors and shapes are just so pretty.

But I understand where you're coming from; stepping into a big pile does result in a very satisfying CRUNCH.

Almost too satisfying. LOL

They are pretty, but when they are all dry at the side of the road i just cannot resist!

I love them! But unfortunately where we live we don't see many of them. We live on the coast so we don't have very many trees that drop leaves. It really bites Just a few hours North of us they do have leaves like that, and last year we visited my friend for Halloween and the kids had a blast jumping in the leaves. We're originally from a different area that always had leaves and snow and all that fun stuff of the season, so for me it's such a loss living down here. The kids are too young to remember it, so they don't miss it as much.

I MISS IT!

<--- Lived in Florida from age 10 to 29

I lived in Montana for a few years recently, and I LOVED it. It was just so familiar and magical to see the kids jumping into piles of leaves in the neighborhood; the place had these huge maples that just RAINED leaves. They thought it was funny that I was doing it, too.

We've had lots of beautiful leaves fall here but it keeps raining so there is no satisfying crunch to be have. Just icky slipperiness.

Love the colors autumn brings! I've never (in my adult life) intentionally crunched leaves though.

I try to avoid it, otherwise they get tracked into the rooms I just cleaned at work and it makes more work for me.

For Alicia, Chillipepper and Tori (cause she only has wet ones). I know its not the same as doing it yourself.. but here is the girl child and I on the weekend

I've been enjoying the crunchy leaves for a few weeks now. The only thing I'm not too big on is them getting stuck everywhere on my car, lol

Me too. I live in an area that's nothing but trees and hills, and when the leaves start to fall its absolutely breath-taking. I love the smell of autumn, and I adore those crunchy leaves. It makes me smile.

Autumn is my absolute favorite season— for breaking out the cozy sweaters, but not quite needing a coat yet, for making soups and stews and chili, steamy cups of hot cocoa... and for raking up a big ole pile of crunchy leaves and watching my daughter dive into it. I'd dive in too, but I'd break something and never get up again.

I HAVE to step on a crunchy leaf if one happens to be in my path. It's like eating potato chips or something. It's just satisfying.

Yes! I love Autumn. It's my favorite season. The smell and the sound of the leaves crunching beneath my feet while the wind blows my hair makes me feel thoughtful and hopeful.

Let's hear it for hoodie weather!

I like crunching them on the sidewalk, and only the sidewalk. Stepping on leaves on grass is a bit dissatisfying to me. I love autumn in general though. Despite midterms and all that, it's the most peaceful season for me.

The sound of leaves Is just so relaxing and calming, except when there is a turd hidden in it.

That would make me sad.

You can try and enjoy my leaf pic up top.. or I can post you one of the changing colors to help with the non leaf situation

I like to collect all the pretty leaves. Especially the red ones from Maple trees.

I love looking at them, but usually once they hit the ground they get all wet and slimy. Ah, the Midwest... where fall is just a slightly more colorful version of winter.

I am somewhat the opposite. I get irritated when the maintenance people at my school don't clear the leaves on the sidewalk fast enough.
