I wasn't sure where to put this but I am always so interested in hearing other peoples opinions about sex and sex-acceptable

Object sexuality, Objectum Sexuality or Objectophila s a pronounced emotional and often romantic desire towards developing significant relationships with particular inanimate objects. The term objectum Sexuality was chosen by Eija-Riitta Eklof and her friends Frank and Lars. She had “married” the Berlin wall in 1979, unoffcially adding Berliner-Mauer (Wall) to her surname.

Erika Eiffle a world-class archer put her success on the the relationship she has with her competition bow Lance. She is famous for “marrying” the Eiffel Tower in 2007.

Simply put objectophilia is the sexual and emotional attraction towards objects. These people who fall in love with objects engage in both an emotional and sexual relationship with them. They identify themselves as a separate sexuality just as heterosexual or homosexuality.

I've heard of this a lot on shows like Taboo, I think in the person's mind at least the relationship makes sense.
I'm not sure I'd go so far as to call it another orientation just yet but if enough people sort of 'come out of the woodwork' about their objectum sexuality it may have to be considered.
To me it doesn't make any sense at all but I hesitate to call it just another form of mental illness because that would be like saying being homosexual is all in someone's head when there's proof (from what I heard on a documentary) that a person can be born with such an attraction for the same sex...there's even proof that people can have a difference in their genes that actually makes them 'born in the wrong body' (again, heard it on a documentary so either of these 'proofs' could be wrong I suppose).
