When I lived in Washington state and was going to school I met this woman who introduced me to Nichiren Buddhism. Basically it's a Buddhist (discipline? not sure if that's the right word)--as opposed to Zen, etc--that involves chanting in order to manifest your desires in life and bring joy to yourself and others. I attended several of the weekly meetings that their local SGI (Soka Gokkai International-an organization that promotes this form of buddhism) held. I eventually stopped going because they were being pushy and I just didn't feel comfortable with that. Also I was a strong Christian at that time.. Long story short my faith has weakened of late, and I'm thinking back to how things got so much better in a very short time when I started chanting. And I've heard a lot of stories from other people to make me think this is real. I'm going to start chanting again for some things I need in my life.. So what about you guys? Does anyone practice Nichiren Buddhism and how has it changed your life?
Nichiren Buddhism Anyone?

I don't, but it really doesn't sound any different than "The Secret" which is just the law of attraction in play.
The Law of Attraction states:
The law of attraction is a pseudoscientific belief or theory, that "like attracts like," and that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, one can bring about positive or negative results.
I can honestly say that my entire life changed just because I changed the way I thought about things.

Yeah, it's similar to the Law of Attraction. Except somehow I feel like there's more to it than that, a deeper spiritual element perhaps. Whatever it is, it works. I chanted for 30 minutes the other day about something that I thought would never happen..at least for now..and it did.
