Do you see the new year as an opportunity to improve your life? Do you make any changes or resolutions?

I choose not to base my life changing decisions on the date, if I need to make a change...I do it.

i don't make them.
12/02/2012
I typically don't.

I don't.

I've found it useful to make changes and/or resolutions for New Year's before. I'm in favor of just about excuse or tool that will help me become better/happier!

I try in the spirit of the season, but it never really works out. I usually just make changes based on when they're needed.

I resolved to lose weight and finish reading every book I start, it's worked for me in 2012 Dunno what to resolve for 2013 yet.
12/03/2012
Not really. Just make changes as needed during the year.
12/03/2012
If I really need to make a change, I'll do it right away, why wait until New Year's to make a resolution?
12/03/2012
I don't do this. If there's something I need to work on, I work on it as it comes up. On New Years I do tend to reflect more on what I could have done better in the past year, but that's about it.

I'm kind of over making a list of resolutions. I look at myself as a work in progress year round.

Working through my list now
12/03/2012
I want to work out more.

Sometimes

I always make new years resolutions. What's a better time to make life changes than on the first of the year? I think it's great, a fresh time of year to make a change.
12/03/2012
Sometime, but really, my resolutions stick better when it's not the new years.
12/03/2012
I'm still kind of rooting for the end of the world in a couple weeks

I make my "resolutions" during Rosh Hashana and the High Holy Days. For me, the secular New Year is a fun reason to party. I personally don't make any resolutions around then, but I do party like it's 1999.

Nope. I sort of come up with resolutions as necessary; I don't see the need to have an arbitrary date for it.

Nope, I don't.

I always make some but I never end keeping them all year long
12/03/2012
I don't like them and don't make them.

I never really *wait* around for the new year to make changes but I do make a coupe resolutions. I generally try whenever I feel the change is made but I do think the fresh start of a new year is always extra motivation to get more serious about something. I lost 40 lbs this year and unfortunately put 20 of it on while out of work and just being lazy. Right now I'm working on maintaining since I am trying to find the time to make healthier meals, but of course I plan to move on to weight loss mode soon. Obviously the most convenient time is right after the holidays.

sometimes...2 years ago I made a resolution not to eat candy for a year, and I did it!! What can I say...I have an issue with gummy bears sometimes.
I don't know what I want to go for this year, but I will be thinking about it.

Sometimes but not consistently.
