me too which is sad because my dad is an accountant. You would have though I'd learn something from him.

Something similar to this. I work in finance and help clients with investments and such. Since I do that, I end up working with accountants often. I'm not an accountant myself but know the basics so I can sound somewhat intelligent before the actual accountant steps in on the tax side of things. Basically, I know enough to give the right advice but not enough to feel comfortable not recommending a client see a CPA.

I do my own taxes. Getting my stuff organized to bring to an accountant is pretty much 90% of the job... after that I may as well just fill out the paperwork myself so I don't have to make the drive.
