We did not use a lot of resources for this program just yet. Just wanted to try and see how it goes.

It is a good idea, while I won't be participating (as I'm not really a fan of doing social media) I do think it's an ok concept for those that like to promote.

sounds great! especially :"Social Points GC may be applied to 100% of your total amount due, with no limitations."

Personally it would be easier for me (and I would imagine for ef as well), if it would be ok to email a list of the links for the month as opposed to emailing a link every single time i post a link. Would that be ok?

Otherwise besides it being multiple emails, wouldn't it be a bunch of $1 gift cards instead of combined? (unless i'm misunderstanding)

That's a good point actually. I just opened a Twitter account, and a Facebook account. I am looking forward to trying this out, but I am not sure how well emailing with every single post will work either. I'd rather send a list of say at least 10 posts so that I can get a larger card rather than several very small ones, which would be annoying to try adding to my order.

Hi edenite, emailing a list of links would be fine. If the program takes off we'll make a few changes, allowing for point and GC accumulation, among others.

At this point though, we just wanted to see how the program would do so we didn't want to throw a lot of resources into it.

I am a former contributor at Eden. I check the forums occasionally in hopes the site is restored to its former glory.

Obscura, these ideas are wonderful. Knowing what I do about the demographics of the community members, it's going to be difficult to get them to promote anything via social media, especially when so many platforms require some sort of real, personal information be provided. While the community loves participating on the forum itself and would like to see more activities based on the anonymous platform already provided, many are not willing to expose their level of intensity for sexual pleasure via public social outlets. This was a constant struggle in the past for former admins.

I have a suggestion, while tedious at first, it may lead to great promotion for Eden and their vendors. There are numerous cam girls on Twitter who would love to work with the adult industry in a deeper way than just being on cam or nominated for awards. Working with an adult site would probably excite them greatly. Most of the girls list their twitter feed somewhere on their bio pages. A direct message to them stating your case and offering to get them involved with this might go a really long way in the right direction.

You are correct, it's not easy, and I agree with you. After trying a couple of ideas out, I think we'll have to think of other ways to have fun with our contributors.

Yes! I still have high hopes for this program, because even though some people are not comfortable exposing their sexuality on the social media, some tend to not be so shy and it's a good thing.

I have to say, as someone who has used various private email or message board groups and rooms that the mention of a FaceBook alternative is offensive. FaceBook is unregulated, uncontrolled, and invasive. It is taking away from all of our traditional Dark Social and will eventually kill off our groups. We have owned and moderated various groups for many many years and the FB is evil.

I think it's cool, but I feel like a lot of people would be so uncomfortable sharing anything related to sex or sex toys on their facebook?? I don't know, I have a lot of friends and family on there that would just FLIP OUT if I posted a sexual article even.

However, does tumblr count as a social media platform for this? I have a nsfw blog with over 2,000 followers and I would be happy to advertise there.
