Do you get nervous for your partner when they have something big coming up?

Today my husband has a certification exam to be certified in project management and I swear I'm more nervous about it than he is. I've always been that way no matter what it deals with. (school work, certifications, job openings, etc.)

It really depends on what it is, but often yes!

I get that way sometimes, especially if it's something that could affect the both of us. Doesn't matter if it's a good affection or bad. I've been like that with college tests, big stuff at work, etc.

I'm usually more nervous than he is because nothing seems to phase my husband. I like to say I'm always nervous for both of us.

I get nervous for him if it's something that means a lot to him. I also get sad when he's upset, so I guess it's a general empathy thing.

Good luck to your husband, by the way.

I do all of the worrying for both of us. If something big is on the horizon, my brain goes into overdrive and I analyze it to death and from my analysis he derives his plan of action.

Sure, a little sometimes. Though between the 2 of us, he's more of a worrier than I am. I don't tend to get terribly nervous or worried about things in general, but I always care when he's got something coming up that is a big deal.

Yes. Most often if he has something big coming up, it's important to our entire family.

Always. He's supremely confident, though.

only once, & that was when i was waiting for my bf to get his grades at the end of last spring semester. if he didn't make good enough grades, his parents were going to stop helping him pay for college & he would have to take time off again & work. i also wanted him to do well so he could take the classes he needed this semester. he made great grades, but unfortunately, his parents still had to stop helping him pay for school & he's back home 4 hrs away from me.
