I don't think it would bother me much because my mother is about as likely to participate in the forums as a penguin is to actually fly.

As for suggestions, if you want to avoid possibly being mentally scarred for life avoid her forum posts (if she participates in the actual sex related parts of the forums) at all costs.
If she finds out you're on here you could just sit down and have a talk with her about respecting each others privacy by not going into details about personal things.

I wish my mom would - she'd be so much more educated, like understanding that D/s relationships are not abuse. But she had her vanilla sex that produced my brother and me, and she was relieved when menopause set in so she wouldn't have to pretend to like it anymore (and was quite relieved when her cheating second husband left and my dad returned, who had also lost interest in physical intimacy, etc). Seriously, I think EF would do a world of good for my mother.

If I found out my mama or one of my sisters visited EF... I'd be a little worried at first. Simply because it's linked to my blog and my blog talks about my private sex life.

But to be honest, I'd kind of welcome it if my mother came on here. It'd open up a new door in our friendship.

I think my rather sex-negative mother would be very unlikely to be on anything like EF. But if she was, I would just avoid everything by her - reviews, comments, forum posts, etc.

My Mom is almost 60 years old and has been on the EF forums for a couple of years now. It doesn't bother me. I don't know her screen name, so if I talk to her on here or read her reviews then I don't know it. It's no different than talking to anybody else that way.

My advice is just to keep your screen names private from one another if it makes you uncomfortable, and don't think too much about it. After all, you could be talking to your mom, aunt, sister, hair stylist, kid's teacher or any number of people you know on Eden without even realizing it.

I'm so afraid of this happening! I already know my mom has many sex toys that are actually on my wishlist (jealous!). I don't want to see her reviews or experiences with them though. I would just steer clear of my mom and not let her know I'm also on the site.

My mom complains sometimes about how she has a friend of mine added on Facebook who is always posting the like links from here and how it's "dirty" etc. It makes me feel bad because I'm finally accepting my own sexuality and here she comes out of left field with her comments. I wish she would understand that it's not ~dirty~

My Mom passed away long ago - but if she were able, I think it would be great. You'll be there someday - are you going to stop having fun because your daughter would be grossed out? Get real - live and let live!

Very interesting since I know Mr. and Mrs. Bignuf profile say they are in their 50's. How do you know she's on the forums? Did you recognize her screen name?

My mother is 60, and doesn't have internet access so this would not happen to me, but I wouldn't care if she did as long as she didn't read my reviews.

My mom died when I was a kid, so I'm not really sure how I was feel about it. I assume she masturbated since I remember finding erotic novels and a hitachi in her dresser when I was little (wasn't old enough to know what any of it meant) and being shooed away. Well I get the oogy factor. I have a son who is just about to turn 21 and I have thought about how awkward it would be if we discovered one another here! But, oh well, if it happens it happens. But the thought of either one of my parents is even more awkward since my upbringing was so strict and the attitude in our house was so sex negative. Reconciling their harshness then with their presence here now would be difficult for me. But I guess it is never to late to grow and broaden your minds!

It wouldn't bother me at all!!!! My mom knows I review here, and I think it would be kind of cool for her to get involved here too. A few years back my mom came to visit me when I lived in New Orleans, and I took her out to shop for sex toys while she was there (her first ones!).
