I, Mrs. Bignuf, love my morning Coffee. My hubby, who usually enjoys a cup, but doesn't depend on it (like I do), is actually a coffee "expert". His hobby is ordering raw or roasted beans from all over the world and making fresh and "different" blends. He started this after a trip to South America where someone gave him some "home grown" coffee that he enjoyed and realized didn't taste "the same" as the stuff from the supermarket or even a coffee house. Now we get a little bag of coffee from some strange place on earth almost weekly and he enjoys using only "gold" filters (no taste imparted) and French Presses, or other glass drip pots, to create "the perfect cup"! He always orders tiny amounts too, so it is "fresh" and stays that way before being used! It really is his hobby. He can sniff a bag of roast coffee now and tell you where the beans came from! He does this trick when he visit's different coffee shops. It astounds them, like a magic trick. Strange thing, it all smells like "roast coffee" to me, but he is always right about the "source"! Good nose, I guess.

Oh wow! that is some nose and actually sounds like something I would do in that once I discover an interest, I dive right in and become a self-taught "expect". I don't drink coffee, but his pursuit of the craft of it is something I respect and find wildly interesting! I love people who get passionate about things and learn all they can about it (probably because I'm like that, lol!)
So, Mrs, what is your hobby or hobbies? WAIT,
besides anal, bahahaha...I had to add that as a joke! I tease in all fondness though! In all likelihood, I think people don't know enough about each other on here to expect their hobbies, so I say, answer even if it's not an odd or unexpected hobby.
I do silkpainting, paper and fabric marbling, jewelry making, theatrical makeup & historical costume design (used to, I studied them in school for fun, but don't actively do them much now), and I am a classically trained musician in piano and flute/piccolo.
And the following probably counts as crazy if you've ever seen Nat'l Geographic's Doomsday Preppers series, lol:
I guess the most surprising of my hobbies is my current passion for incorporating my love of organic gardening and growing my own food with prepping. I am trying to become as self-sufficient as possible given my health and circumstances. I am all about food storage and preserving right now and stocking up supplies to tide me over in the event of any emergency because frankly, I can't bug out, I am staying in! I moved into my new house with a large yard but have not been able, as yet, to put in a big food garden. I have been so sad and missed all the fresh produce these last two summers! Now I have the equipment and the storage space to allow me to can and dry my own, organic food, woohoo! If I was physically capable and the area was safe for it (let's just say, I would meet opposition and the coyotes and other predators here would make a subtle installment of a small flock a problem), I would have a few chickens. I would never be able to kill them, but I don't like meat that much that I would ever miss it if I had to live on my supplies. And since I don't eat a lot of eggs, I would share with my neighbors. For now, I secretly hope for a neighbor to take it on and I could exchange homegrown produce for fresh eggs. Well, can you tell by how much I've gone on and on that I am into this, lol! Anyone want to ever talk prepping, I am your gal! That and cats, bahahaha!
