I'm studying German. It's hard! Are there any multi-linguists here? Comment with what you can speak!

I would recommend going to Germany and attend the Goethe-Institut. That's what I did.

3 1/2 years of college level German. It's actually one of the easier languages for a native English speaker to learn, since English comes from German.

Suggestion: Just go with it. Things will just kinda "click" with it after a certain point.

I speak Spanish and (Brazilian) Portuguese, although I wouldn't consider myself to be fluent at either.

I went to french immersion for a couple years when I was younger, but I haven't used french at all since then (except for giving people directions on the street a couple times) so I've forgotten pretty much everything.

I learned German and Ancient Latin in school, besides English of coarse. I learned some Swedish from my mother.

Learned German in school, and ended up living there for a year and becoming fluent. It's been a while since I've spoken it every day, though, so I'd probably need practice to get back to where I was.

I can read and write in French, but I can't usually think quickly enough to speak it very well. I can get by with it when I need to though, I just usually have to repeat myself several times before anyone understands me.

I'm slowly learning German. If they taught Croatian here I'd learn that, too.
