Do you think it's overpriced to go to the movie theatre?? The one that I frequent is only five bucks. But sometimes for IMAX or 3D it can be up to 15 dollars a person. Which is something I'm not willing to spend. How about you?
Are theater movies overpriced?

Yes I do and I will only go if it is really something I want to see. If not I will wait till it is out on DVD or watch it online from somewhere.

I don't go to the movies unless it's something I really really want to see, like the movie version of a book I loved or something else like that. I always wait for it to come out on dvd or online or something. I might go more often if I had more money, but I'm a working class person paying college bills right now, so when I do go out, I'd prefer to get something like food out of it.

they are way over priced. We only do family matinee programs through the kids PTA. each movie is like 80 cents. They are the kids movies that are just coming out to dvd, so they are not the newest movies. But I wont pay $8 a person to sit and watch a movie. I wait until it goes on sale and pick up the dvd on sale.

I haven't seen a movie in theaters in years at this point, so ya I'd say they are not worth the money.

I try to go to matinees or wait till it's at redbox or netflix, unless it's something I'm dying to see.

I have two problems with Hollywood - most importantly very few movies are even worth watching - much less paying retail fees for. The second is the retail price of the theaters.
I haven't been to a movie for about 10-15 years - my family on the other hand will watch pretty much any tripe that they throw on the screen - oh well.

Cheah, way overpriced. I remember when a HUGE tub of popcorn cost like 7 bucks. Now you're lucky if you can get a medium bag of popcorn and two large drinks for twenty bucks. Economy, you suck.
