I have a son in the Marines. I was wondering how many of you served in the military
or have family members that have served, and are they still active in the service? If so I give my thanks to each and every one of them.

I just recently joined, and just got promoted to E-3. (USAF). One of my grandfathers retired as an E-9 in the navy, and the other as an E-9 in the Air Force.

I haven't served, but I am very appreciative for the men and women who have served or are currently serving.

Thank you and my husband says, "Thank you" too! I am retired and he is still active, but he is due to retire in two years or so.

Being military makes life a little more difficult especially on the kids, due to never really being able to settle in and put down roots; however, it sure does make for some resilient, well-rounded, adaptable human-beings as they get older.
