Do you take mental notes about a product during sex or masturbation to use in reviews?

Scenario: My partner and I are going at it, the moment is intimate, the passion is intense, and then I squash the mood by internally reviewing the product as I (or we) use it. I definitely take mental notes, and it kinda takes me out of the heat of the moment. Sometimes, I'm relieved when I've published a review because I no longer feel like I have to be hyper-aware of what's going on; I can just enjoy.

So, EFers, do you do this mental note-taking during use? Or do you just use the toy and then reflect back on the experience and try to remember the nitty-gritty as you write?

For the most part I sort of rely on my memory of the experience with my own things. Things with my fiance I've asked him questions while he's been using it and one time I did bust out a notepad to write his answers down, lol.

I like to use a toy at least 3 or 4 times before I write a review for a toy and I usually start out taking mental notes the first and second time, but then I try to forget about keeping notes and just enjoy the product once I've written my first draft. Then I go back over it reflecting on the whole experience whilst I finish up my review.

Sex is a feat in itself for my boyfriend and I that I can't really think of anything other than how good it feels. This mostly applies to collars and crops that we have. When I masturbate, I make metal notes BEFORE I put the toy into action, but never during. I have to let my mind be blank to enjoy the sensations.

I always *try* to take mental notes, but sometimes I get too wrapped up in what I'm doing to pay close attention. Sometimes I have to try a product several times... I know... It's a hard job, but somebody's gotta do it. heheh

My mind is a natural multi-tasker. At any given point during the day I am thinking of multiple things. So, during sex it's often the same way. It's actually better for me to be thinking about the toy instead of thinking "oh shoot did I lock the back door? I better remember to go check that" in between moans... ya know?

Certain things though I don't really think about during use. Like lube..lube I will do a run through on my own with it, I'll do a hand test to see how long it takes to rub in and how the after feel of the lube is and yadda yadda..but during sex I usually do not think much about it. There has been the occasional time where I've thought "oh if I leave this on my hand I can see how well it absorbs for my review" but for the most part I don't concentrate on it at all and the first time I realize anything about it is after its over..if we didn't ahve to reapply and things stayed nice and moist then I call it good LOL

We've also like Airen-Wolf found ourselves actually making comments about the product or my husband will take a comment I made during sex and say "now THAT should be the title of your review on this!" LOL

I usually end up taking mental notes about whatever product I'm using at the time. Sometimes I'll drift away and forget I'm supposed to be technically reviewing something though. Noting details about a product while using it isn't something I can really shut on/off though. It either happens or it doesn't. More likely than not, I'm recording information during my "field testing" sessions.

Oh, my! Yes, yes, I do! lol It's the best way for me. If I let myself get too caught up in the (hopefully) pleasurable feelings, I'm sure I'd forget things! So, I make my little mental notes and remember them as I write my reviews. Or I will type them up in a Word doc for reference.

I take notes in my mind during use. If something irked me I'll remember, if it made me feel really good or did something that felt good that I don't normally get with others toys, then I note that, too.

I have the memory of an elephant. Stuff just sticks in my head and I don't really need to consciously "remember" it.

I keep the toy near me as I write the review and play with it nonsexually to get specifics down - like ridges, patterns, speeds, controls, etc - but I rely on my memory for how it felt.

Intentionally thinking about it during use would pretty much ruin my buzz. Pun intended!

Sometimes a mix. Every once and a while I do stop and write things down, more often I do a mental "remember this", most often just recollection.

I start off with a more "analytical" playtime to see how the toy stimulates and try various applications, then I usually do a more free-form play.
