Memberships: Do you buy them?

Have you purchased a membership lately? Maybe its for the zoo, movies, swimming pools/parks around your home, camping passes, anything for a fun summer family get away? Do you purchase these year round? If so,do you find that the memberships outweight the single purchases? If not, why? If yes, how so?

We pay membership fees for the 'Y' and state park pass, I think it's worth it as long as you use the facilities frequently.

When my kids were younger we paid for membeships to the zoo, aquarium, and local museums. Now about the only one I pay dues for is Sam's.

Used to get my annual paid membership on LiveJournal, but that was a few years ago and I've mostly stopped using it. Beyond that, just the standard Sam's Club/Netflix, but hopefully I'll be able to get my husband a gym membership soon.
