I was just wondering if any of you find it odd that sex on TV seems to be considered worse than violence. If a naked man or woman is reclining on a couch their privates have to blurred out, but where is such censorship when syfi is showing an alien bursting out of someones chest. I don't understand why such gruesome things can be shown, but boobs cant.

YES! I agree with you 130%. I don't get bothered by sex or nudity on television because everyone does it and it shouldn't be a big deal. However, I don't think it's necessary to show someone getting shot and the corpse being shown in full detail. If anything, the latter situation should be blurred out.
We've been desensitized by violence, and it disturbs me incredibly. Hitting someone in a bar is more acceptable than a woman walking around a topless. And yet, which one is actually causing harm and distress in society? Not the topless woman.
I'd much rather watch a good film, tv show, etc. where nudity is common than where violence is not only common, but accepted wholeheartedly.
