I've been watching news coverage on different channels and the only thing the reporters agree on is that the candidates are neck and neck, and that the lead can change at any moment. Polls have closed in two time zones, and they're eager to call the race for Obama or Romney, but it's dangerous since the numbers are so close. Here's my question: do you think that if the media calls the race before 1am ET tomorrow morning they'll get the winner right? Or do you think that when the paper and absentee ballots are counted days from now, it'll be another Dewey / Truman situation?
Do you think the media will get it right tonight (11/6/2012)?

Well I hope that the algorithms are correct, and the news isn't biased. But who knows, maybe i'm just an optimist.
