Man Sets Up Fake Dating Profile Pretending to Be A Woman....Finds Out the Hard Way...

Contributor: Ansley Ansley
So here's the scenario:

A guy gets it into his head that women have it so easy when it comes to dating, so he decides to set up a fake dating profile as a woman.

Within two hours, he quit the site after being repeatedly harrassed by men asking for no-strings-attached sex or requests for nude selfies.

How many women here have experienced this very thing on a dating site? What about from people you meet online in general? Do you think there is any way to curb this behavior?

Experienced this on NON-dating sites!

I have never used a dating site before, actually I'm on MeetMe and that's as close to a dating/hook-up site that I've ever been on. But I have gotten this kind of treatment on xanga (remember that blog site?!), myspace, facebook, and of course meetme.

The girls that hit on me there NEVER ask me for nudes or anything of that nature, it's always the men who send me messages saying "txt pics" or "show me pussy.'

Uh, no sir. NO SIR! You have to EARN that shit.

The only way I think we can curb this behavior is if we teach kids, both MALE and FEMALE from a young age that it's not okay to objectify anyone who isn't first objectifying themselves (and I don't mean that to sound as if some people should be "demeaning" themselves or anything, because I have a respect for the woman or man who is a confident sex worker and I hope I haven't dug myself into a hole). No one deserves to be treated like purely a sex object, no matter how awesome they may think sex is.

People and children alike need to be taught positive messages about bodies, sex, and the included dynamics of all of that.

It's pretty disgusting behavior and I don't care if a woman is splayed eight-ways to Sunday, you don't get to treat her like a piece of meat because she's fulfilling your fantasy on cam/screen. And it's certainly not acceptable behavior in non-sexual situations.

I'm dreadfully curious how many of these men who make these requests are basement-dwelling trolls with nothing better to do with their time and it's a numbers game -- if they keep asking, eventually someone, somewhere will cave and do it.

Pretty much. It's a scary, scary world out there. I do agree that those things are something that need to be earned. I think there's an expectation that everyone is just free-wheeling and ready to hand over their body to be exploited in this day and age. We've got teens sexting and sending nude selfies or action shots (vomit!) and their parents are clueless...I'm afraid it's only going to get worse before it ever gets better.

I am right there with you on that fear.

Agreed. At least the solice in FB is that you can't post that stuff there. I'm all about being confident in yourself and being proud of who you are and solid in your sexuality and making choices that are positive for yourself in regards to expressing said sexuality, but to hand it over because you've been bullied, that's just a horrible thing.

I'd liken it to virtual rape, but I think that's a little harsh. IDK...there was a group here locally that started a page calling girls from another high school "them hoes over there" and posted all kinds of pictures of naked, UNDERAGE girls...all are now being charged with possession of child pornography and so is anyone who downloaded/saved the pics to their pc.

Hah! Well, good. That's is ridiculous. I thought it would stop at Burn Books, but it's gotten worse. Parents do not pay attention to their kids these days (most parents! not all!)

IMO, if you're under 18 you have no business being on the internet or having your own personal electronic devices -- whether they be kindles, ipads, cell phones or any of that other mess. The internet is for adults, not children.

I agree!

It was a fight to get me a cell phone and my father only caved because I was in marching band and we were constantly on the road or out of town, so they wanted to be able to get a hold of me without having to use a friend's phone.

And even then, I had to turn it into them at bed time and I didn't get it back until morning. And if it was ever taken away at school, they would not give it back. But, it never was taken away at school. Half the time, I forgot I even had it.

I think they did! I told the boy that if we ever had kids, I'd probably be considered a mean mom, and I've told him some of the things I would do and he just looked at me plainly and said "You're going to be really mean."

I told him "well, I'm just going to protect my kid. I want them to learn, explore, be comfortable with a lot of things, but there are still some things they don't need to know."

Parents are supposed to be strict and keep their kids in line. If more parents would bust their kids butts and stop coddling them, we'd have a much more productive set of children coming up. Instead, we have a bunch of whiny, self-absorbed, destructive children that don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. It's very disturbing.

Sing it sister! You already know I agree with you from previous threads, but it sure was fun reading this one with you and "the other ww". Since when is being a responsible parent being "mean"? Look out! I hear helicopters! (did that make sense? as in helicopter parents?)

Not even butt-busting. I see SO many parents unwilling to tell their children "no" for fear that the kid will throw a tantrum (and working at a pet store, it's exceedingly stressful for a parent to have promised their child a pet, only to get mad at me when I explain how much work goes into caring for virtually any animal). And there was a woman in the store today who was trying to get her two year-old to leave. My solution would have been to, I dunno, GRAB THE KID AND LEAD/CARRY HIM OUT. It's just crazy enough to work.

My mom would carry me out of the store and spank me in the car and tell me that I'd behave or she'd send me to bed without supper.

Shit, I turned out fine. I have no mental issues because of it. People need to tell their kids no, need to keep a better eye on them, and need to CARE more.

Off topic. I agree. I am amazed at how many of my co-workers complain that their kids are lazy and just sit around the house all day playing online/texting/playing video games/etc...
My son is 7 and he is expected to help set and clear the dinner table. He also is responsible for keeping his room clean and also helping with laundry. Just last year his dad and I have also included him in helping to make meals. He understands that he has chores and responsibilities around the house and that there are consequences if he slacks.
He does have a tablet, but the wi-fi is not set for it. He is only allowed to use it for educational games that help with school work. The same goes for his DS, we make sure that the majority of his games are educational related. He does have games that are played more for fun, but those are saved for things like long car trips and things like that.

Now on topic. A friend of mine once created a Meet Me account and put pegging as one of top things she couldn't live without. She had a guy contact her looking for a "hook-up" he mentioned that pegging was one of his favorite activities also. When she asked him what size dildo he would like for her to use on him he freaked out telling her that we would never allow a girl to get him in the ass. lol proof that some men on those sites will say anything to get a girl.

Not really a constructive comment on the matter, just a bit of on-topic humor. Whenever I get asked for pictures of my breasts online, I always say sure and send one of the following pics:

Filename: tits.jpg
tits

Filename: boobies.jpg
boobies

Filename: hooters.jpg
hooters

Usually just one is enough to make them give up and go away, but if they persist (haha, funny, but where's the real pic?), I do make it through all three from time to time. It's my way of turning an unpleasant experience into something fun.

hahaha! This made me laugh really hard.

My fiance and I both have our own Meet Me accounts and guys are constantly messaging him asking for pictures of his cock. So, he has a nice collection of rooster pictures that he will send to people. It's glorious.

That's fantastic that you have those boundaries. Sounds like your kid will be far more grounded than his counterparts. Good job mom (and dad).

I'm not surprised on the pegging part -- I've seen some pretty insane requests just from mundane interactions with people, there's no doubt in my mind that a lot of guys play the numbers theory. (You know, go stand on a street corner and ask every woman that passes if she wants to get laid. Sure, you'll be slapped or rejected 100 times, but there will be that 101st person that will say yes.)
