In our sex life they are three TOTALLY different things.

Our preferred order is:
1. Fucking
2. Sex
3. Love Making

It's funny to me that I ask him to make love to me, but then I turn it into hardcore fucking...I guess I just like him to bend me over, pull my hair, call me a dirty fucking slut, and then cum in my face! I use to enjoy making love...but now I prefer to be a whore for him

They are all different things.

Making love - Passionate. Slow, involving foreplay and taking your time. Focusing more on the needs of your partner than your own.

Having sex - Doesn't have a lot of foreplay, isn't strongly connected, strictly just to get off.

Fucking - Fast and hard. Not emotionally connected, focusing only on your own pleasure.

This is how it is in OUR sex life, that doesn't mean it's like that for everyone.

Martiniman, your forum questions are always so interesting!

Making love is always preferred, my very top choice, being together with my SO, caressing, touching, pleasuring him just as he pleasures me, what could be better?
Fucking is great when the craving to be together is so great that taking the time to make love takes too long but is wonderful because its more spur of the moment.
Sex to me is solo play and while I do enjoy it and it gets me through the in-between times of partner play it is always my last choice.

I think there are different feelings and emotions involved with each.

I don't think we ever "make love" it's mostly "have sex" I think i'd like "make love" but that's not where were at right now.

That's how my boyfriend and I see it too! We usually make love, but sometimes just need a good fucking. Having sex is for when we are both in a rush and just need a release.

Since we are into cuckolding, I count activities with other men as fucking. It's purely for pleasure; there isn't really a connection between us, other than physical attraction. I'm often friends with the guys, so we get along well, but there isn't a loving relationship attached.

making love is our go to activity in the bedroom. Even after 20 years, we still make love like we were in a brand new relationship.

Being a bit of a literature nerd here, while I'd certainly say that while the words have different connotations and bring to mind different feelings, all in all, they're really the same thing.

Sex for us is recreation - so I'd say we 'have sex'. Sometimes we'll cuddle afterwards - and that feels like 'making love'. We don't do wham-bam-thank-you-maa m fucking - it's just never been our style.

They are all different to me. I've been married over 20 years and we do it all.

Making love is passionate and with lots of foreplay. Emotional connection is strong.

Having sex is just get it done. Might be mechanical and routine. Emotional connection is optional.

Fucking is hard and fast and wild. Emotional connection is optional.

In my mind,
Making love has feelings and passion involved. It's slow and sweet.
Having sex is a general term I use for all forms of sex.
Fucking is more rough. BDSM could be involved.

I like a good mixture of making love and fucking. I fuck much more often than make love.

I believe they are all different

I think that making love has emotion and is more of a connected sexual experience where having sex is a little more detached and fucking is just having no feelings for the person.

I prefer them in the love, sex, fucking order

I think "having sex" is just the basic act, without much (if any) passion or affection. "Making love" is more affectionate, and "fucking" is passionate.

We fuck about 2/3 of the time and make love almost all of the rest of the time.

I don't go by these distinctions, mainly because I think "making love" sounds like a cheesy phrase. I refer to all sex as "sex" or "fucking" regardless of the style.

They're all different to us and it depends on the mood which we like the most.

Sex is definitely the least mentally detached one, so the longer sessions usually involve making love or fucking.

This is what I always say to him...(and we are monogamous)

Sex is when one of us is horny and wants to get laid

Making love is when we want the other one because we love them

Fucking is when we're going fast and hard

I don't like the term "making love." It's just been made so cheesy.

They are different in my eyes..

When I say I wanna fuck I want it hard and dirty, when I say something along the lines of "make love" I want is slow and sensual, and having sex to me is more like a quickie just to make us both cum.

The general act is the same, but the mood and vibe is different. Fucking is more carnal and aggressive, while making love is passionate and intimate. I love both!

I think of it as two acts either making love or f*cking. Making love is gentle, loving and involves a lot of foreplay and centers around the other's pleasure. F*cking is more assertive and getting down to business.
