Disregarding any sort of ipad, tablet, desktop, or phone and only talking about laptops (mac osx, windows xp/vista/7)...which type do you have and which do you prefer?

I've had PCs, and I find my Mac easier to work with. More of the programs and make sense to me, and I feel like pairing it with my iPhone was easier than any PC/MP3 player combination I ever had before (probably because they're made by the same company?)
06/28/2011
I have both and only use my Macs. They are just better all round.
06/28/2011
I used to have a pc, but switched to a mac, and will never ever go back to a pc. I find the mac so much simpler to use, and in the year Ive had it, nothing bad has happened. (crashes, viruses, slowing down, etc.)
06/28/2011
PC all the way (goes with my Microsoft certifications ). I am not really found of MACs at all, and never have any problems with our windows machines (viruses, crashes, etc).
06/28/2011
I much prefer Macs.
06/28/2011
I've always been fond of my PCs, but to be honest I can't remember the last time I used a Mac.
06/28/2011
My good old Dell 1525 laptop is PC based, but I've chose Linux as an operating system.
06/29/2011
i'm computer retarded, so i find macs to be best for me.
06/29/2011
Everyone has always told me that a mac was better, but I have never used one, so I guess I am a PC gal
06/29/2011
never used a mack
06/29/2011
i would love a mac if i could afford it

06/29/2011
Oh I love my PC so much better then a Mac.
06/29/2011
I haven't had a pc since I was 4. Right now I have a macbook, an ipad, 3 ipods, and an iphone, so if you can't tell, I really like macs. The rest of my family has a total of 8 mac products.
06/29/2011
I've always had a PC, and I'm content to keep it that way
06/29/2011
PC is the only viable option

I just have my iPhone and MacBook Pro. Mom has an iPad, Dad has a MacBook Pro, sister has a regular MacBook and an iPod Nano (the gen before video cams and multitouch), and grandmother now has an iMac. Oh, and everyone in the immediate family has iPhone 4s (Verizon ones), grandmother has an iPhone 3GS. The other grandmother doesn't like technology...
The family I babysit for kinda scares me. There are 2 MacBook Pros, an iMac, and iPhone 4s (I'm pretty sure there are 2 perfectly working iPhone 3GSs lying around...) That all makes sense to me, but then the kids (6 and 8) both have iPod Nanos and an iPad (the dad uses the new iPad 2 occasionally, but the original iPad is 100% for the kids). Kids getting in fist-fights over the iPad which is perched precariously on the edge of a sofa, table, counter, etc. = NOT good. Same for food... No matter how many times I tell the kids not to eat with the iPad, they still start eating cereal with it sitting in their laps

I have a PC, and I would rather not have either. They both have big problems. It would be one thing if they would stand up and fix the problems their OS causes, but they never do.
06/30/2011
I have a PC and I am not sure whether I prefer a Mac or a PC because I have limited experience with Macs. I kind of want one though, they are really nice but too expensive.
06/30/2011
I've come to love my MacBook and use that most often but in my home we also have computers running Windows, Linux, and ChromeOS. I'm not really loyal to any one company or movement (i.e. open source).

MacBook Pro just cause I am in the music business and most people in this industry use Logic and other MAC based DAWs

Mac's! It's kinda what I do for a living. No I don't work for Apple. I've been working in IT for over 12 years and though I'm not a "fan boy" I've learned the pluses and minuses of both and I choose Macs.
07/16/2011
I have a Mac and prefer them
07/17/2011
I use Linux pretty much exclusively, but I prefer OS X to Windows. Macs are overpriced in terms of hardware, but the operating system is worth it if that's what you want.
07/17/2011
I bought myself a Macbook and have had no problems in the three years I've had it, whereas I went through a PC and two inexplicable laptop clashes during my four years at college. I was an English major who did a lot of word processing and Internet surfing, so I really was being nice and gentle the whole time!
Since I have a PC in my office and my at-home freelance work requires me to use MS Office products, I'm still a Microsoft program user.

I have a PC but I would LOVE a MAC... I'm just scared of taking awhile to get adjusted to it!

I swear pcs are the spawn of satan
08/08/2011
See I think they are both useful in different ways. You cant game on a mac period. I dont care what anyone says. If you need something with big graphics cards you need a pc.
But if macs are user based. They simplify everything. Which is very very nice.
I really can't choose to be honest.
I love using both. But I use my ipad more than anything tbh. Just because its so small and I can throw it around and not worry.
Im really up in the air. I use my dos commands on pc still, I really am into it. But I love the artsy efficiency of using a mac book.
Blah.

I can never go back to PCs. T
08/10/2011
I have a pc and would probably stick with it mostly because I'm so used to it lol
08/11/2011
macs are prettier... but aside from that, both seem to get the job done.
08/28/2011
PC, PC, PCs all the way! Macs have too many bells and whistles. It's too flashy. I suppose they're okay, but every time I use one I fell so awkward, but that's probably because I love my Windows system. Anything else seems so foreign. Plus, PCs have far superior word documents software, in my mind.
08/30/2011
I have and prefer a PC.
08/30/2011
PC all the way here. Apple makes good phones and and the new iPad is cool. I have an iPhone and iPad 2. If i want to actually use a computer though I'll go for my self built PC. The hardware in my rig far outclasses anything Apple puts in there computers.
They buy the cheapest hardware they can find and jam it all in to there slick round shiny sale mobile and hype it up a 110% with a cute box and a cute name and its ate up by people lmao.
I see the Mac more for work being done in graphic design etc but if you play games and such it just wont do the job.
I will say this though the iPad definitely rocks i cant deny that one lol me and my wife both have one and if i just surf the web and such this thing comes in handy. Still op though imo.

Have both and MAC is very reliable, but even today, MOST programs are PC, and honestly, PC's are MUCH faster to boot and anti-virus is very good, so the old issues of MAC is better are dissolving. Also, MAC is very, VERY expensive by comparison. I bought WAY more bang for my buck with a PC.

I used to have a PC, but switched to Mac about 5 years ago, and have not been able to go back! Macs are so much more enjoyable to use, although they are super expensive (IMO).

I own a Mac and love the way they function moreso than a PC.

Have a PC, love PCs. Dislike Macs.
12/16/2011
I prefer my PC. I've found Macs to be impossible to custom. Macs are faster to boot up, but that's the only thing I can think of as a plus. I don't actually dislike Macs, though. More a case of disliking those who worship Mac products. For example, a friend of mine posted a few of her search queries on another forum:
Her: What is a good virus scanner for a Mac?
Google Results: Macs don't get viruses. Period.
Her: What is a good cleanup tool for a Mac?
Google Results: Macs will never get cluttered, and therefore never need to be cleaned up.
Her: Mac is freezing. Suggestions?
Google Results: Macs will never freeze.

I've always had a PC - my family owned one, my mom's a PC programmer, so I have a PC. But all the schools I've attended - elementary through university - have had Macs, so I'm very very comfortable using both.
12/22/2011
I have a PC but prefer Mac because it has little problems than PC's. But the only issue with Mac is the price.
12/22/2011
I have a PC, and prefer a PC, but i'd love to try out an IPAD.!
12/22/2011
I have two PC laptops in my household. I would love a Mac but It is just too expensive when I factor in design software that I would need to repurchase. Maybe if I go back to school so I can get the student discount!
We do get our apple fix with an iPad 2, iPhone 4S, iPhone 3GS (not on anymore for phone service but they still play games on it), and old iPod mini.

I have used both and have found I prefer using a pc. I am a hardcore gamer and I just find it easier to play on a pc.
01/22/2012
I had a Mac for years and I'm still in love with them, though it's now retired and relegated to my little brother's internet use. I now have a PC and have used it for around 3 years. While I like that PCs are easier to find programs for, easy to customize (if you know what you're doing) and are fairly functional, I just love macs. If I had the money to get one, that's the only damn thing I'd have!!

03/25/2012
Had an old school mac, back in the 90s, but pc i prefer more.
03/30/2012
Seeing my friends use macs definitely makes me want to look into them. they look real user friendly but I dont want to learn how to use a whole new OS when I'm already proficient in windows.
03/31/2012
I grew up with PCs at home but used Macs at school. Then for a couple of years I used exclusively PCs. Now I have used Macs exclusively for 3.5 years and I could never go back. When I try to use PCs I get confused because I have almost no experience with any Windows OS past XP.
That said, I may need to get a PC at some point in the next couple of years because a certain program I need only supports Windows.

Prefer Windows and Linux. I have tried macs and used them a fair amount and I don't like them. They say they are intuitive and user friendly, but I find them a little confusing. Also, the hardware is really expensive and they don't have the broad range of compatibility that windows does. Whats more apple are control freaks. Right now I am running Ubuntu Linux on my laptop and have for about a year. I love and It and do not see any reason to use Windows as the primary OS on it. Although, I do have windows 7 on it for the rare occasion I need to boot into it.
03/31/2012
At home we have both, but I mostly use our newer iMac for what I do. I don't have a super-strong preference for either, but when I'm doing music work I find the Mac to be a better/more stable platform. For general work the PC is just fine.
03/31/2012
I have a PC and prefer a PC. Don't like the mac setup and everything. I used macs in our mac lab at my art college and wasnt fond of them. It's nice they don't get viruses though.

Gaming on macs sucks! Plus they don't have internal fans, so you run more of a risk of overheating your laptop/burning your lap. IMO they're only good for the less tech-savvy and art students, but I have several friends who would disagree!

I have a PC and prefer my PC. Macs are incredibly expensive for what they provide and frankly, I find them to simply not be as polished as PCs are. There are a lot of illogical and just silly things about Macs to me and I really just prefer my PC. And frankly, I built my PC, so I can almost guarantee that it's going to last as long as any mac.
