I often find myself getting turned on about characters in my books . For example I started reading the Vampire Academy series. I finished the first 2 books and there were several characters I wanted to do myself or certain ones I would watch or wanted to see together in bed. I especially wanted to be Rose
Do you lust or have fantasies about characters from your "non sexy" books?

I do not even know where to start. I was always really jealous of Enid in Ghost World for sleeping with Seymour, and then when they made the movie and it was Steve Buscemi I was WAY more jealous. Something about that guy....

I fantasize about quite a few book characters, now that I think about it.

I tend to read educational books, so not really! Maybe I should start

All the time. Movies too Speaking of vampires, one of the earliest series that had me fantasizing was LJ Smith's Nightworld books. Oh, and with all the fanfiction it has spawned, the Harry Potter series is good too. Clearly Severus Snape is a very passionate man

My first crush was Lazarus Long from Heinlein's 'Future History' mythos when I was twelve.

I never had fantasies, unbidden. But I do like erotic fanfiction. Though it is tricky to find stuff that is well written. (or rather tricky to find stuff that isn't horribly written), I do like reading about my favorite characters in all kinds of erotic situations.

Not that I can recall!

LOL! I wasn't going to go there, but since you started it... yes! Severus Snape. First it was the personality of the book character, but once the movie came out, wow! It's that voice, ya know? Makes me want to shag him through the floorboards.

I've never fantasized about a character . . . yet. =]

Too often! But I just want to get this out there: NOT DARCY! Blech, the guy's an unnerving prick. If you want a hot Austen man, try John Knightley (Emma) or Colonel Brandon (Sense and Sensibility AND played by Alan Rickman... melt away, ladies!)
I was going to list some more, but I'm drawing a glaring blank now that I can't get Colonel Brandon out my head!

Funny, I would say Darcy, especially since he can be such a miserable prick. There was just a quiet intensity about him that once you made him reconsider his foolish pride, he was downright irresistible to me (and can you say long hard lovin'? Because I can!).

Yes, and it's not just limited to books. It seems like no matter what I'm watching/reading it somehow turns into porn in my head.

yes

Yep, I'm with Papershotglass; Mr. Darcy was the first one that came to my mind.

Definitely. This is why fandom is fantastic.

So much so that I had to stop reading books for awhile and reintroduce myself to the real world. And after being in the real world, I think it's time to dive back into books....
