I saw another discussion on the forums involving remembering dreams, and I thought I'd start a discussion here about lucid dreaming. Do any members here do it, or is anyone interested in it? What have your experiences been?

I can do it. However, I can only do it (usually) after I've completed a full sleep cycle and am going into "overtime" for another 4-6 hours. I can control the dreams and control whether I wake up or choose to ignore outside interruptions. I can smell, taste, see in all colors, hear, and be multiple people at once with multiple points of view and separate thought processes (seriously). I always wake up with a massive headache and a slight fever, though.

No. I've been trying to do it for a long while, but with no success. In my normal dreams, I'm very sensitive. Things feel a lot more real - or at least I'm hyper-aware - but I can never make the transfer into lucidity inside the dream.

there have been a few occasions when I slipped into a lucid state while dreaming. it has always been accidental, and I usually end up waking up as soon as I realize what is happening. on another note the paralysis that the body undergoes during sleep has often affected me in dreams. I never knew what it was until recently when I did some research to figure out why I punch my fiancé when I sleep. turns out that sometimes the paralysis doesn't work, and you end up flailing about in your sleep. back to the point, during dreams with a lot of intense emotion the paralysis of my sleeping body bleeds over into my dreams, and suddenly no matter how hard I try, I can't talk, (usually in the dream I am furiously yelling at someone) and I can't run, or fight. where usually I am chasing someone, running from someone, or fighting someone for my life. it hits me suddenly in the dream, as though every muscle in my body was instantly replaced with lead.
