Hello, my daughter is expecting her first child. I have talked to her about using coco butter everyday to prevent stretch marks. But she keeps telling me that after using lotion she get pimples. I have never heard of this and I wonder if she feeding me a line.. idk.. But just in case she isn’t, I’m on the search for a lotion that will work for her.

I do know she has oily skin.

I saw this lotion and thought it seemed like it would be light. Does anyone happen to know?

Does anyone have any suggestions of what she could use?

Thank you for your help.

There is no way to avoid stretch marks. It's all up to genetics. Essentially if your mom got them, you will get them. If not, then you may not get them, but there is still a chance. So if you got stretch marks, your daughter probably will. You can live in water, and you can still get stretch marks. It's a myth that these products work. They may help reduce the "life" of the stretch marks, but certainly won't prevent.

I faithfully used cocoa butter when I was pregnant with my first, and I still got some stretch marks.

Good luck to her! I just had my second 4 months ago My kids are 8 years apart!
