I graduated a few weeks ago and I keep checking to see if I have an item to review. How long does it take to be assigned one?

Someone who knows more, please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it doesn't happen automatically. I believe you have to request the assignment. You probably will be turned down several times before you get a free assignment! At least, that's what happened with me.
I suggest checking out the new products page, as well as the blank product search page. That's where I check out the new products and request assignments.
Click on a product that looks interesting to you, and on the product page, check the upper right hand corner for the "Grab it" button. Click that to add the product to your assignment cart. Then, go to your assignment cart and click the "request assignment" button beside the product.
If I understand correctly, they're phasing out free assignments. Going forward, you'll be able to "grab" any product and request it — but it won't be free; instead it will be substantially discounted. You can already do this now, I believe.
Again, if someone knows more than I do, please chime in!
