Did they insist you have a "tetanus booster", regardless of what type of injury brought you in?

No. But then, they were extremely busy and I insisted on getting x-rays because I knew my leg had a fracture even if they insisted it was a sprain. I was right.
Last time I went in for a pelvic exam they insisted I get one though. And then I learned that I am one of the small minority that has pretty bad reactions to tetanus boosters.

Nope - they never asked us anything about having a tetanus shot. I think that was the least of their worries.

I think so. I think I told them mine was recent, but they gave me one anyways

No. Getting EKGs and CAT scans and xrays for my blackouts and dizziness were on the priority list, lol.

Nope, never.

No, and we've both seen way too much of the ER this past couple of years.
12/20/2012
Nope because they assume that I have had one recently because of my age.

Yes, but for two very valid reasons:
1) I was overdue for one by a good 5 years or so anyway...
and
2) I had been bitten by a skunk, and they were giving me a rabies vaccine shot so I suppose they figured it'd be convenient to do both at the same time.

Nope.

I did last year, because I was bitten by a dog.

I've never been to the E.R. Oh, wait. That's a lie. I went when I was five or six because of my fainting spells. I don't remember much about it. As for my fainting spells, the best they could conclude is that I faint when I'm in more pain than my body can deal with.

I haven't been in the ER for a year and a half and they were more concerned about my blood sugar being over 235 at the time, so nothing like that ever came up for me in my case, no.
12/20/2012
No, but I hear this is now common procedure in some ERs.
12/20/2012
yes, but i was due

Yes, the government is pushing it. Tetanus is actually making a comeback and I have seen it. It is pretty freaky. It will kill you.
12/20/2012
No and I go to the ER pretty often. lol Is this something I should be harassing my doctor about now?

My last one I got was 3 or 4 years ago and that was because I had metal in my eye. Last time I went they weren't worried about they were more worried about the horrible pain I was having an wanted CT scans and tons of blood work instead.
