Cable can be so expensive, has anyone thought to use or is using a supplementary form of entertainment such as Hulu or Netflix? Opinions?

Just wondering if anyone uses internet "tv" sites such as Hulu or Netflix rather then spending big bucks on cable or direct tv? Which do you use? :)

I have all of those, actually. Crackle is irritating because they don't put the ads into any sort of act break, they just cut at random, sometimes in the middle of sentences. Netflix never has the most recent stuff, but it's loaded with documentaries, which is nice. Hulu is probably the best of those three, since they usually have television shows up the next day if you missed something. Cable's significantly more expensive than those options, unless you get a package with phone and Internet, and just think of the whole thing as a phone bill. If you like sports at all, you'll need cable.

I use netflix. It's a great alternative to cable. I don't really mind waiting the extra time for shows to come out

I use Netflix and Hulu Plus on my xbox.

I like Hulu.

Hulu and Netflix. I wish Showtime and HBO would make their online on-demand services available without a cable subscription because I'd happily pay for them too.

I use both Netflix and Hulu but I have a few other sites that I use to watch newer eps of shows the next day that would not be on these sites

I like Netflix, it's just I feel that their selection isn't very large. Even though I have a very weak signal for my wireless it still works great though. My only complaint is like I said, I feel the selection isn't very large.

We use Netflix and hulu instead of premium cable.

Almost all my TV comes from Netflix or Hulu, except what I get through the rabbit ears

I have both cable and Netflix.

I use Hulu, mostly. Thinking of checking out Amazon Prime streaming.

Combination of Netflix and Hulu (free). Netflix could really stand to enlarge their selection, imo. There are years old shows I'd like to watch, but they only have the first season available.

We have netflix and watch our shows for free online.

We don't have cable or satellite, we're so busy that it's not worth it without a DVR and we can't afford that right now, so Netflix it is!

netflix! no cable

We have cable, but I supplement it with Hulu and other video sites all the time, especially for hard to find shows that either don't air anymore or don't air on any channels we get.

We use Hulu and Netflix a lot, but we still have AT&T U-Verse, which we like much better than cable honestly.

Netflix, mostly. I used to use Hulu, too, but they dropped some of the shows that I watched on there regularly. And, in the future you won't be able to watch Hulu unless you have a cable subscription. I was really hoping it was just a ridiculous rumor, but it turns out to be true. The good news is they don't know when, just some time in the future.

I have cable...my guests always seem to be appreciative given that nobody does anymore. Plus, I don't want everyone to have to crowd around my computer.

I really like Netflix. My boyfriend and I are planning on getting it when we move in together to save money, plus it's awesome.
