I worked at my mom's scrapbook store when I was 14. Then I worked for a nonprofit in underprivelged schools

I did babysitting. At 13 I petitioned the local newspaper to write an advice column for teens. (They had never had anything like this before in these three newspapers.) I supplied some mock ups and they went for it. I quit when I was a Jr in High School and I wish I had continued it.

My first job was working at a grocery store as a grocery bagger/shelf restocker/floor sweeper. It wasn't too bad, did it for about three months before they started severely cutting hours because they hired too many new people at the same time.

Like P'Gell, it was babysitting. My first job that required an application and interview process was at a movie theater. I worked the ticket counter and concession stand. It was a lot of fun, but my manager was a coked out pain in the ass. He hit on me one night (I was sixteen and he was NOT sixteen) and I immediately clocked out and never went back.

I see everyone is listing things like babysitting, so my first job that didn't involve sending in an application or resume that I had as a kid, I was paid to teach my cousin how to tie her shoes and ride her bike because her parents didn't have time lol.
Then my first official job was working at a pet store that sold exotic animals
