What items "must" you get from a "brick and mortar" store?
What items would you never, ever buy "online"?

I prefer to try shoes and clothes on before I buy them, so I don't usually buy those items online.

I don't think that there's anything I wouldn't buy online. However, I'll only buy shoes and clothing from stores that have a good return policy.

Food? I don't know. I buy a lot of things online.

I was thinking that, too, at first, but then I realized that I've ordered food online before.

Shoes. My feet are weird and I've given up on ordering them online.

Mr. John
I would not buy food or clothing online.

Clothing and shoes. In almost all cases I need to try something on before buying it and returning something that doesn't fit is usually more of a hassle than it's worth when it comes to the internet.

I honestly can't think of anything. My first instinct was 'food' but I have in fact bought non-perishables (protein bars, gluten-free mixes, etc) online.
ETA: I would buy clothes or shoes online from a retailer with a really good (free shipping both ways) return policy, such as Zappos or Old Navy.

Guns, ammo, animals, medicine, electronics and vehicles.

That's a great response. I have no problem buying electronics or medicine online (provided that they come from a reputable source), however I would never buy a vehicle without first having it inspected, no matter the source. And purchasing a pet or farm animal takes a lot of real-life inspection for me as well.

I essentially won't buy anything that doesn't have a good return policy or the option to dispute the charges through Paypal if the item arrives in poor condition (such as through Ebay).

Fresh food, like meat, veggies and fruit. Those things I have to see myself before buying.

Fresh food. That's about it.

used sex toys - no, no!!!

if it's coming from a reputable source/company i will probably buy it online, however, live animals is always a big no or really anything from craigslist without first going to check it out in person.

Clothes and shoes. But that's only because I have to try them on before I can take them home.

I with JS on this one. I immediately thought of food, just like others, and then remembered we buy some bulk things offline when we find it at a good price.

Other than what JS said, I would have to say jeans. I wear a size 0 and have long legs, so this is something that is hard to come by and something I really need to try on, due to different brands running differently.

Animals! I wouldn't have thought of that one on my own.

I don't understand how people can buy dogs from breeders online without having met the animal. How can they figure they'll be compatible?

I think any item over $300 needs to be in person for me, like computers or televisions. So if there's any issues I can go to customer service in person. That's just me though!

I have bought shoes online before but typically I think it is best to buy them in a store so you can try them on. Things like land, animals, vehicles, etc-- it goes without saying I would not buy them online.

I don't think there is anything I wouldn't buy online, but there are things that I would comparison shop in actual stores first.
