A lot of what passes for science is akin to religion - people place their faith in the guesses scientists make - instead of preachers. It turns out that they are probably right about the same amount. Practically everything I was taught ins school outside of basic physics has been proven incorrect.
They need to do a better job of saying 'This is what we think today, and there's a good chance someone will prove it's wrong someday!'

You made me think of a different show i watched on Nova called secrets of the sun.
Everything they discussed was said like it was 100% fact and i sat there wondering.. Well did they go to the center of the sun to come up with this info??
Maybe i am wrong but i have never read anything about people or machine, traveling to the sun to scoop up stuff. Sure they get great pics of the sun now but pics can't tell what the sun is made of.
I still love these shows that take me to places that i will probably never get to see!
