I saw a funny tee shirt that had the usual glasses with liquid in them & said next to the first, "half full". The second had "half empty" next to it, But the third said next to it, "technically, the glass is full!".

I've seen other takes on this, but wondered what you thought about the whole debate, is the glass half empty or half full?

I just think that there's room to add some vodka!


But really...lately, it's been half empty for me. I'm going through a pretty rough period lately and I've been finding myself very pessimistic.

I'm not a pessimist, I just think of it logically. As a full glass is depleted, it becomes increasingly empty, so a half full glass is half empty. Just like my car is almost on empty, not slightly full.

I am an optimist--95% of the time. I do get down, but then try to work out ways around everything. I definitely prefer my glass on the full side!!!

Oh my gosh. I just posted a discussion today on this same topic that I came up with yesterday when we were talking (and since I did the search yesterday before you posted, I didn't come up with yours). I feel like such a twit!

I'm the type to question most things, so I'm more of "what's in the glass?" rather than focusing on it's volume. I guess I'm more of a realist.

Funny you should mention that! I saw another tee shirt showing the glasses with some yellow liquid & next to each it said something like this:
1 - I believe the glass is half empty
2 - I believe the glass is half full
3 - I believe that's pee in that glass!
and then it said something witty about people who think this way & want to just know what the hell is in the damn glass!

No problem! I so often agree with what I see you post, that I think we might share a brain! I'm sure you had a different twist on the whole thing. I will admit to being surprised not to have found this topic in the forum search I did.
