Is Anyone Else Experiencing Flooding?

I live in the Northeastern part of Pennsylvania, about 20 miles from the New York border, and we have been evacuated and according to the news our first floor apartment is completely submerged. My office is also in a flood zone, but the river hasn't breached the levee yet (the river is at 39' and rising, the levee is 41'). I'm just wonder if anyone else in the flood zone?

I'm sorry to hear about your home. I've been watching updates on the flooding and it's just heartbreaking to see so many people lose their homes and belongings.

I personally am not in the flood zone, since I'm close to Chicago. However my sister is in Concord, NH and my cousin is in Kingston, MA. So far they seem to be doing ok, but it seems like most of the rain is hitting New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont.

Baltimore got a great deal of it yesterday but today wasn't too terrible. Yesterday large portions of the highway closed down, roads were closed down, and there were quite a few cars trapped in the flood waters.

I'm in the south so no problems down here right now. Bless your heart, I'm sure you are freaked out. My thoughts are with you and please stay safe.

Sam- I am glad you are safe and I hope your sister and your cousin don't feel any of the affects of Lee. Hopefully, this is the worst of it and no one else has to deal with it.

Peggi - I'm glad things have cleared up in Baltimore. I'm glad to see that you are safe.

AngelvMaynard - Thank you for the kind thoughts.

It looks like the river level is finally starting to level off so hopefully there won't be any more damage. I'm not looking forward to going back to my apartment to see all the damage.

Our basement is about 2 inches underwater, but nothing was damaged too badly other than some old furniture. Fortunately everyone we know is safe.
