I feel like a vast majority of people nowadays have iPhones. I've had one since the original 2g aluminum device, and swear by Apple computers. With that being said, what is the general opinion on the new OS? I didn't really think the facelift was needed, but it is a bit nicer and fits the Apple brand a lot more than the old system.
iOS7: Do you like it?

My iPad's battery used to last a week with how I use it; now I have to charge it daily. Same apps, same usage times, same place.
Meanwhile, my co-worker's phone can no longer last our entire shift.
To top it all off, none of the issues that I have with iOS got fixed.
Honestly, I feel like I picked the right moment to sell my iPhone and switch to Samsung.
Also, not to nitpick, but Android has 80% of the smartphone market. This means that no more than 20% of people are using iPhones; Androids are still more common. However, since you have choice in the phone for Androids, there's less of a single-phone mafia.

Your perception is wrong. A "vast majority" of smart phone users have anything but an iPhone.

In the USA, less then half the smartphone sales are now Apple and worldwide...forget it. They only hold a fraction now, compared to Android.
I just played with a friends "brand new" top of the line iPhone he waited in line for earlier in the week. Sorry, my year old Galaxy Note 2 beats it in every way that counts. Bigger, brighter screen, better camera (just compared the photos), clearer phone calls (we are on the same carrier). Sorry, I just don't get the love affair with Apple. When they come up with something far better then my Android device, I will buy it. I have not seen that happen yet.

You will love that Samsung. Everyone I work with now owns them, after seeing mine. Our "work area" went from about two dozen Apples and five Android phones, to everyone using an Android phone...almost all from Samsung. I love mine.

I have an iPhone and I hate the new update. It is horrible and kills my battery in less than a day.

Hate it....period.

Really? Everywhere I looks seems to be nothing but iPhones. Maybe it's just my age group?

It's because iPhone users only notice iPhones. I was that way until I started looking around and considering other phones, and suddenly realized that most of my friends in fact did not have iPhones. From what I read, the stats hold true among all age groups. I'm a 21 year old recent grad from a top US school.

@Bignuf: I adore it already. It does everything that I wished my old iPhone would but couldn't and it's so much more convenient. I like how I can make the phone do and be as I want it, rather than succumbing to what Apple wants me to think is good.

To paraphrase one of my favorite comedians, I went to bed with an iPhone and woke up with an Android.
Honestly, the only reason I stick with the iPhone is because of the vast majority of music I had on iTunes from years of iPods and I don’t carry two devices everywhere again. - C

I have made the switch to android and honestly it's gotten so much better that i don't really miss the iphone's iOS. I did get a chance to see it on my parents phone and it looks pretty but other then that I wasn't overly impressed with any changes they made.
