Inpatient! Inpatient! Inpatient!

I know the title sounds like i am being an "Inpatient!" child but bare with me.

It seems I am rather inpatient, I have an assignment in the mail... but I am planing my next review. Which just makes for a horrible wait, because I can not even make another purchase for another month

Its not that I am not dedicated to my next review (The one in the mail), because I cant wait (Damn holidays!).

Maybe it is that, I want to write the best reviews I possibly can, and not to stop until I review as much as I can as best as I can. Maybe its just me being selfish, who knows, I do not. All I know is playing the waiting game is a bummer.

Anyone else have similar issues? What do you think is the cause of your similar issue? How have you gotten over this issue?

Hope this message didnt sound too whiny..never meant it to sound whiny at all

I know exactly how you feel. Shipping is the bane of my existence, no matter what it is! I swear to all that is holy, online package tracking is a personal hell designed for yours truly.

Deal with it? On things I'm really excited about, I'll normally use overnight shipping. Besides that, I actually adapted an old xkcd comic method.

Only instead of a random script; I just go through the "gadgets" section on ebay, and generally end up ordering some cheap-o item from Hong Kong. They generally take over a month to get here; however the upside-no tracking number, and it's definitely a nice surprise when it finally arrives.

I had an assignment that was supposed to be delivered on the 24th. Tracking showed it was on the truck ready to come to my house. Then the blizzard hit and dumped 14" of snow on us. So no package...they basically shut down our state.
Well, Christmas was yesterday so no mail then...
Then today I see the mailman and get excited!!! I thought surely he'd get to us today...but he didn't. We're one of the last houses on his route so I am sure he ran so behind that he stopped before he got to our house.
So tomorrow is Sunday and I am hoping I get it by Monday. I'll bet it's been sitting in a truck for days, in the cold...I hope everything is ok still.

Oh boy! What luck!

Mother nature is a tough old gal. I have no clue where my package is at the moment.

it said t left NJ the day before Christmas, through fedEX. and Did not show that it ever arraived at another facility. I am not really worried, I had a similar issue with FedEx through amazon.com, but I received the product almost a week a head of time. that was FedEx ground though, and this is FedEx smart post. Which I know very little about.

All i know is I am supposed to get it by the 30th, and that, that estimate is almost a week before i was supposed to get it (I think the delivery date calculator said Jan.5th)

My experience with FedEx smart post is that it will deliver a few days earlier than the delivery date calculator says. I guess maybe it works a little faster than originally anticipated, which is nice.

I always luck out with the Smart post. May be just because I am in Boston and it is very close to New Jersey but I always get it well before the calculator predicts.

Smartpost usually arrives 1 or 2 days early but mail is always slower in winter anyway.

Tell me about it, just got news that my package is only an hour an nine minutes away, around 48 miles or so... but i am not scheduled to get it until the 30th.. as of now its 29th (3am), but my package arrived there the 28th at 11 am...

Either way its alright, it just gives me more time to study up on all the materials and other relevant information needed to write an informative and in-depth review.
