Indulgent lunch.....mine is "limitless pasta...with salad and breadsticks". How about YOURS?

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
My good work lunch is if I pack something myself. My minor indulgence is a HEALTHY sub (no dressing, wheat bread, turkey)...etc. My INDULGENT lunch, at work, is going out to that "place" that, once again, has LIMITLESS Pasta, salad and breadsticks. I can easily eat two bowls of their pasta and if I just do soup...well, I can down three bowls. I leave stuffed...and feeling guilty.

How about YOU? What is your "indulgent" lunch out???

When I was working, I would get either a fried chicken salad from Applebee's or order Chinese. I usually would get a cup of hot n sour soup, egg rolls with one of the following: chicken fried rice, mongolian beef or General Tsao's chicken. Every once in a blue moon I would get their teriyaki wings with a side of fries.

I'm not a big lunch person, but there's something about a good sub in the middle of the day that fills a food-shaped hole.

I can't do "All you can Eat" places. I get full too fast and then will be hungry later.

I know that place you speak of, and being a pasta junkie, having all that pasta sounds wonderfully tempting. I like their salad dressing as well. I sometimes buy bottles of it to take home.

There's an article on Yahoo! right now about this very chain and how many calories and days of saturated fat is in each item. It's disturbing.

I can only imagine. It's probably a nightmare. Unfortunately, this tends to be the situation with many chain restaurants.

The big red claw has been voted the healthiest chain around and I largely suspect it is because most of their dishes are seafood and fish. LOL But, yeah one salad, one soup or pasta and a few breadsticks and you're over the DR intake.
