If you love someone...

Contributor: Dragon Dragon
Valentines Day is coming.
If you love someone, make sure that you tell them.

Make sure that you show them.

Anyone want to share who and How you want to love them?
(I'm letting my mind wander, but I'll come back to this post)

I love my boyfriend of a little over 3 years. He lives about an hour and a half away from me (which is actually the closest he's lived to me this whole time) and I have some exams the week after, so I probably won't get to show him loving on Valentine's Day, but I'll make it a point to show him the next time I see him after that. Probably with long back and foot massages, amazing head, and by taking him out for sushi.

His birthday is this weekend actually, and I'm going to go visit him. So he gets double super-loving this month.

I have been married to my hubby for 10 years. I love him more than anything and want to make sure he knows that everyday, no matter how far apart we are or for how long.

I'm still in love with my abusive ex. It's really screwed up, I know. I'll tell him I love him, although he already knows, and it won't make any difference.

Sorry to be Debbie Downer. Kinda struggling with this right now.

Stick it out, you are very strong to not be in that relationship anymore.

Although it is hard letting go and accepting things won't change, the important thing to remember is that what ever kind of abuse you were experiencing it wasn't your fault!!!!!

Congrats to you.

I planned on making a special evening for my partner by making a menu of exotic meals from a cook book I received on Christmas. As well as initiate him to the pleasures of bondage while I am supervising everything as a sexy airplane pilot....the issue is, will I receive my things on time :S.
Wish me luck!

I'm mourning the loss of the only person I've ever loved who I was fortunate to have a fabulous time with last Valentine's Day. He knows I love him too, and I'm certain he loves me - it's just that now is not the time in either of our lives for such a serious relationship.

But you know what: this is the first year in my adult life that I've had adult friends outside of a romantic relationship. I have 2 best friends we just love each other to death. So I'm getting the female one some certain chocolates she loves and the male one (who is apparently my long lost brother) some specialty beer.

Love is like a couch: if you don't dust and febreeze it every once in a while, it'll fade and start to smell bad. So I wouldn't worry too much; some day, it'll all be over.

:: hugs! ::

I honestly don't believe in Valentine's Day--I think it's a cheap excuse for people who are usually lazy to be "romantic"--but that's just me.

I refer to Valentine's Day as "Happy Consumerist Flowers and Candy Eating Day."

My loved one and is will be across the world. He bought me a stuffed dog before he left and his Valentine's card remains unopen. )=

I love my husband more than anything. I've been with him more than 20 years now. I found a book that I'm writing in which is all about memories of the past and different ways that I remember his love.

I love my children, and my friend Patti.

There are a couple of you that I value a lot. Jimbo has always been there and listened. Dame Demi and I connect well. There are others too.

I don't love a Pirate, but there are memories of times that I love!

This Valentine's will be the first Valentine's day we'll (meaning my DH and I) spend together in 4 years! Last year he got a partial part of the night off but everything was rushed.

Every year he's had to work- one year he was deployed. I remember our first Valentine's... he's a guy, so he goes through the typical male memory loss quite a bit, but I asked him if he remembered or if he remembered what I wore and he described my dress down to the very last detail. I was stunned.

I'm hoping he'll take me to Bonefish (for a chain it's damn good!) and then maybe a movie. We're military and we have a child (our friends don't!) which means we won't have a babysitter for the night. So while we're blowing kisses to each other from across the table, we'll also be cutting up chicken fingers and squirting out lots of ketchup.

As for the after party- I bought a bunch of things from EF. Kamasutra products in Tangerine, silky sheets, a foxxxy tickler, and a massage candle. I'm uber excited. If anyone is curious what products to buy- link
is phenomenal! I still have a lot of goodies from the kit I'll be recycling this year.

I'll be spending the day with the man I love more than I ever through possible, my boyfriend of over 3 years, the guy who's started talking about marrying me. This will be the first Valentine's Day that we will be able to spend together, due to distance and both of us being in college. I've bought a few surprises, among which was my biggest splurge yet on toys, the Fluffy Flogger in pink and black. We talked about getting one a few months back, but never got around to it. We're planning to spend the afternoon cuddling and making love, then going to our favorite Greek restaurant for dinner.

I love my roommate, she's like a sister to me. She's the sweetest, kindest person I've ever had the joy to meet. She's put up with me for a year and a half, which is no small feat. I'm planning on getting her some of her favorite chocolates (she's a diehard chocoholic, with a metabolism that lets her indulge without shame) before I leave for the weekend.

I'm spending this valentines day with a very very close friend. We've both got feelings for one another but the timing was never right. We both recently split from previous partners and decided to spend the "Saturday" together, realizing after we made reservations that it was valentines day.. so I'm crossing my fingers that we'll have the opportunity to catch up and hopefully find the spark, the connection that we once had. So we're going out for a late dinner after we get off work, going skating in the park, and renting a movie, playing guitar hero and making ourselves dessert, which will probably be cupcakes. We're both terrible terrible cooks. *Lol* Happy Valentines Day to everyone out there, enjoy!

On the 13th however, me and some of my closest friends are having an"un-valentine" party, in which we're renting action movies, eating DQ ice cream cake, playing loud music and celebrating being just us, with the people who love us year round, no matter what happens. I'm expecting it to be a great weekend!!

Hilariously enough, I have a friend who is hosting a similar "Singles Awareness Day" party.
