Always! We rarely have to evacuate but after earthquakes or during periods of heavy rain, we evacuate. Volcanic eruptions and floods aren't fun.

We haven't had to *knock on wood*, but they will absolutely go with us. Shelters don't take them, but we know friends with better houses than ours. (Since C and I are moving in together in July, my family will be coming to us if they need to evacuate.)

Thank God, we haven't had to go that far. But if so, I would take my pets!

We live in Kansas, tornado alley. We have a basement, and have never had to use it thank God. But, if we did, our dog and hamster would go with us. The dog is very obedient, so he'll do what I tell him (stay with the babies), and the hamster is in a cage, I can grab him easily.

Of course we'll take our pet with us.

We always tak the dog(s), but usually are unable to take the cats with us. My mom has always been so reassuring when it comes to that though, telling me about how cats are clever and nimble and very good at hiding so it would be unlikely that anything too bad would happen to them.

If I had to leave, yes I would definitely take my dogs with me. Like most of the others have said, they are family too.

We've never been in that kind of situation but there's no way in hell we'd leave our pets behind.
I had a hard enough time dealing with my cat passing...I don't even want to imagine life without our dog. = <
He's my adopted, furry, baby brother as far as I'm concerned, and I'm not going to let anything happen to him if I can help it.

The dogs would be the first ones to grab, everyone else knows where to go and what to do. It would kill me not to mention the kid if something happened to either one of them.

I've never had to evacuate, but if I did I would take my cat. She's family. Regrettably the fish would be on their own.

I've never dealt with evacs, but if I did I could never live with myself if I didn't if something horrible happened. I'd never leave them behind.

I have never had to evacuate, but yes, my pets would come with me. I wouldn't be able to handle it if something happened to them because I left them.

We have never had to evacuate, but if we did, you can bet I'd be bringing my pets. I'd probably be stubbornly trying to put the horses in a trailer because I wouldn't want to leave them behind!

Yes, I'd grab my phone, and my cat.

I don't have any pets because I'm allergic to everything, but I would definitely bring my pets with me, unless my pet is a fish. A fish just doesn't seem worth the trouble of dealing with the tank.
