I am torn between piano and guitar. Either one can be played and enjoyed alone, and at home, parties or where-ever. I have never been really musical, but wish I could play one or both. Never have had the time to learn, as an adult.
If you could instantly learn to play one musical instrument, which would it be and why?

Bass guitar - because I will be moving in with friends this summer, and they're musicians and they won't let me stay unless I'll play bass for their band. (She doesn't really care as long as I cook and clean, but he's planning on forcing me to learn bass. I can't even play a kazoo.)

Didgeridoo - because I'm trying to learn, but am having serious issues with circular breathing.

if i could afford a piano, it would be piano. otherwise i'd have to say guitar

Piano, it's just so versatile.

I always wanted to learn guitar. I tried, but I was never very good.

piano, everyone and their dog picks up a guitar at a party and plays, if you can play a piano and play it well, its truly a classy instrument

I would like to learn how to play the Violin.

Guitar or piano...choices, choices.

Definitely the violin. I've wanted to play it for the longest time, and finally got one. Now I'm in the difficult process of trying to teach myself.

I personally have always wanted to learn to play the drums! I still have an interest. If I were in your position, I'd have to take up guitar! My dad can play a guitar, I tell ya! I've grown up hearing him play and attempting to myself, but never got real into it. My lovie plays too. Him & my dad often play together. I really love the sound of the guitar and drums. I'm not a piano person much.

Cello. I don't know anyone who can play one.

Bassoon. Not many people can play it well, so I could get some serious scholarship money out of it. I would really need some magic to make that happen because double reeds are my arch nemesis.

I use to play the basson in junior high. I thought I was so cool because I was the only kid in over ten years to pick that instrument for band. But man alive was I loved when I trucked that massive bitch on to the school bus every day! People loved me! Oh, and I sucked at it!

I would say the piano.

Cello. Because I already know how to play the woodwind and percussion that I like and I've always loved a cello's tone.

It's a tough instrument! I've been in band for 10 years, including participating in honor bands, but I've only met two or three good bassoonists.

I learned to play the drums (kinda) my senior year of high school but I got a cyst in my wrist towards the end of the year so I wouldn't continue until I get it removed but I liked playing and would have loved to continue.

Hmmm probably guitar. I do have some basic knowledge about the guitar but I haven't played in years. I have small hands so instruments can be hard for me.

Guitar. My grandfather (who died years ago) always wanted one of us kids to learn the guitar, of course that happened to be my brother who is shunned by the family, but everyone always say they can see me sitting on a stool singing and playing country songs. They also said I would look good doing it with a black shirt and blue jeans and boots. Don't know why.

Guitar or Harmonica

I'm a classically trained musician and play piano, flute & piccolo & have started to teach myself guitar. I'm the oldest of four children & we all took piano lessons + another instrument of our choice. I, however wanted to learn several more, but my parents said all the lessons were expensive enough and school work was more important! AND I'M STILL BITTER ABOUT IT! I wanted to play cello, oboe, French Horn, harp & trombone. But if I could only choose one, it would be the oboe; I just love the haunting sound

Either relearn piano or learn to play drums.
01/30/2013
The piano.
01/30/2013
Guitar because then everyone would love me. I'd get soooooo many guys lol

Cello. I've always loved the full sound it produces.
